Our dignity of our work. A great line. We love actors. We love their movies. They are people doing a job. Never forget they are actors, doing their job. And Warren, who with his sister, Shirley McClain, acted their whole life. I think in Annette Benning he found a home. I hope their love continues, xx
@jamesleon18053 жыл бұрын
I saw Heaven Can Wait in my teens. The enthusiastic, non-judgmental character Mr. Betty played matched his genuine passion for tolerance, kindness, tempered by accountability. I was only a fan of Bugsy because his passion for Annette Benning seemed so real. An Icon that questioned himself as much as his politics. A man who got it right after all the missteps we take in life.

I can only guess that the pressures of being so successful must make it hard for them to collect their thoughts in these speeches. The awards are so important, and so rare, that the perfect words must be difficult to find. And, of course, they can't prepare in advance easily with serious competition involved. So it just shows how human - and like the rest of us - they really are. J.

his work in and on Bonnie & Clyde was impressive as hell. underrated acting .he creates a character who, while killing folks w/ machine guns also is a sweet ,gentle person around Bonnie,and even caves right in when sister in law Blanche demands a share of Bank loot .you couldn't ask for a nicer bank robber(except for Willie Sutton .when's that movie coming out?! it's high time.)
@tonym9942 жыл бұрын
@@mollysmeow3455 I'm strictly referring to the fictionalized characters written into the film. the real Bonnie & Clyde? hell, they killed folks on Easter and Christmas. and whether or not it was a Barrow shooting, I hold the Barrow gang responsible. my point was similar to yours, about Beatty. the characteristics he brings to Clyde for us, isn't much like how I'd imagine WB or CB IN real life. I wouldn't've realized how good he was as an actor w/ out seeing the '67 masterpiece.

For all the people hating on Jack N. Not one of you has ever met him in person, hung out with him for a period long enough to call him an associate, but you're going to hate a man based on other people's opinions? Yeah, all of you dirt bags, stay away from me, and my people. I won't stoop to your level and call you names as you have done of Jack. Don't waste your time hating on me because, I don't care about you. I won't feed your negativity by responding. Once I ignore you, your comments, & your opinions, you're powerless. Just take this with you, don't judge anybody, you wouldn't like it if they judged you. Also, by judging, you're exposing WHO you are. Congratulations, Warren B.

I wish he'd made "WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT," since he did coin the phrase &/the film was written with him in mind. Peter O'Toole was very good but that part was so Beatty. He has always been cautiously selective much to his advantage; although I would have loved to see him in more films. Must add "DICK TRACY," "BUGSY," " MICKEY ONE, " & "BULLWORTH."
