Hey man have you been buying a bunch of schd durring the dip too?
@kurniawanms28 сағат бұрын
nope. my average cost for SCHD is about $21. I will buy more if it drops below $21
@reesegoebel9797 сағат бұрын
So you haven't bought since 2021? @kurniawanms2

I didn’t have any so I bought a chunk of them during the “dip”

I buy a share of schd every week (was monthly before the split) personally in my Roth IRA. I think it's still the best retirement ETF, a 2-3 month dip just means more money I can speculate in "fun" stuff, like oxy

Damn WB, I started adding OXY a week or so ago from $46-48, and WB's purchases and the FOMO gang drove the price up 3%. Now I will pause until it goes down again.

Too volatile for me, don't have the buffet cushion to risk this
@ComaBoy9113 сағат бұрын
I think Buffet was simply averaging down his position

OXY made an acquisition, I think this is the reason for the lower FCF. I don't think it's business related.

I dont see much reason to think oil companies wont be profitable for at least the next 20 years, war also uses a LOT of oil...

Buffett has to buy over several days to not cause the price to spike on any given day due to huge volume. Thing to remember is that he only buys stocks that are undervalued and does not care if it takes years for the trade to pan out. Unlike so many get rich quick schemes you see touted all the time.

As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top-level investors are able to become millionaires through investing. I have a significant amount of capital to start with, but I'm unsure about the strategies and direction I should take to help me generate substantial profits like some people are this season.

I’m not in a position to offer financial advice, but given the significant amount of capital you're working with, it would be wise to consult a financial advisor who can guide you in developing a strategy tailored to your goals and risk tolerance.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

this is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation

There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with 'Eleanor Kate Fenn' for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
