This is April 14th 2022, Buffett was 91. Just after the Fed started its rate hikes from 0.25% to 5.50%, while stocks and bonds went into bear market. It's before Berkshire Hathaway's YEN carry trade, before liquidating 50% of their AAPL holdings and before BH was sitting on $270B of short term Treasury bills with nothing attractive for Berkshire in the market as of Aug 2024.

Buffett’s insights on long-term investment strategies, the importance of understanding the intrinsic value of companies, and his disciplined approach to decision-making provide invaluable lessons for both novice and seasoned investors. The discussion is really beneficial for achieving financial success. Buffett prefers continuous learning and adapting to market changes, that he really did as Charlie showed him the quality investing.

Great advice to buy companies instead of stocks. What has worked well for me is to buy funds that are managed well and cover an entire market or a sector. Much easier and takes less expertise to evaluate a fund than a company. Furthermore, some level of dividend payments helps with being patient.

One of the most dry but interesting interviews with Charlie Rose. I absolutely admire Buffett's candid responses as he does not want to surmise the unknowns. "I have nothing of value to add to this topic." - Buffett... and Charlie Rose still tries to prod for an answer to no avail. Tsk tsk. Buffett at 91 is the GOAT of Wall St.

Wrong analogy on the part from buffet trying to compare now days living standards to 200 years ago living standards, I thought he was smarter than that. It’s like saying 200 years ago there was organic milk available but now only those who can afford can drink the organic milk or 200 years ago there was no pollution but now there is pollution created by man, just buffet making wrong analogy. Do not compare my living standards with those in history.😮

So...according to Buffett, people living in sewers and tent towns now are better off than Rockefeller was 🙄🤷🏻♂️ and apparently he didn't look at the statistics that say half the country make less than 30k. Buffett should stick to discussion on buying and selling shares (oh..excuse me, businesses 🙄) because clearly he doesn't know anything else.

Average professional salary globally is closer to $12k. $30k is reserved for the best. The janitor in America makes what the rocket scientist makes in most other countries. That is one thing Buffet has in mind, America's mind boggling mass material wealth comparatively to most of the world. Buffet knows so much more than you do that your brain is unable to process his message. Don't project your limitations on him.
