The most common investment portfolio strategies include diversification, where you spread investments across different asset classes to manage risk. Another is the growth strategy, focused on capital appreciation through high-risk, high-reward assets. Income-oriented strategies target regular income from dividend stocks or bonds. There's also the value strategy, seeking undervalued assets for potential long-term gains.

According to Warren Buffett, dividends are less valuable for growing businesses and more suitable for established ones. Investing in companies that offer dividends might be seen as parking capital for steady returns, especially for those relying on portfolio income. This approach resembles bond investing, serving as a means of generating consistent earnings.

Agreed. My portfolio was diversified across several markets with the help of a financial planner, and were able to achieve over half a mil in net profit. It is vital that you have a variety of exposure, including in firms that are currently generating cash flows.

As smart investors who understand the true value of the underlying business, we never let the current market price guide us into the quality and success of our investments... we allow the market to serve us.....we take advantage of the emotions and stupidity of others to add great companies on the cheap.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. Warren Buffett 7 Rules Investors must follow: 1. Don't hold a stock for 10 minutes unless you're willing to hold it for 10 years. 2. Don't loses money. 3. Always buy below intrinsic value. 4. Stick to businesses you understand. 5. Don't buy cigar butts 6. Be greedy when others are fearful, and fearful when others are greedy. 7. Seize the golden opportunities.

I've been scrambling for somewhere to put the money, where I can make an effort to use the gains to pay bills so I can quit my job or should force early retirement. All roads have pointed to the financial market of some sort which is a good idea buh where else should I put money besides the financial market? We have a 13% RPI rate so cash is tough.

Yep great question and that’s always the one - where would you rather be if you have an option. Personally I’m always invested aside from a small emergency fund. Financial-market for me seem the only way forward with my long time horizon (accrued almost $1.4m in gains since 2020 ) but if you don’t have that fortune of time it’s a tough market out there almost nowhere feels safe! . Just know the risk you're comfortable with . Mistake is expensive

I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 175K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I recently encountered an expert who suggested that rather than attempting to forecast stock market movements, a more effective approach is to maintain a well-prepared portfolio capable of adapting to any trend. I aim to diversify $400K across various stocks in my portfolio, but I lack understanding for this strategy.

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.

0:31: 📚 Warren Buffett's investing strategy can be summarized in seven rules, including holding stocks for the long term and not losing money. 3:42: 💰 Warren Buffett's key rules for stock market investing: don't lose money, buy below intrinsic value, and focus on cash flows. 6:55: 💰 Buffett's key lesson is to buy businesses that can distribute enough cash to make the current market cap an attractive buying price. 10:19: 💼 Buffett's investing philosophy: buy wonderful businesses at a fair price, be greedy when others are fearful. 13:54: 💡 Investors tend to behave irrationally during bull and bear markets, creating opportunities for those who can stay calm and act strategically. 17:01: 💸 Warren Buffett's seven rules of investing include having a plan in place, not procrastinating, and avoiding mistakes of omission. Once upon a time, I was an eager investor. With high hopes and dreams, I diligently built my investment portfolio over the years. But as the tides of the market turned against me, my once-promising investments began to crumble. Stock prices plummeted, bonds defaulted, and my hopes faded away. With each passing day, my portfolio dwindled, mirroring the sinking feeling in my heart. I watched helplessly as my hard-earned savings vanished, leaving behind a lingering sadness and a stark reminder of the unpredictability of the financial world. I'm here again because I want to get back on track.I need ideas to get on on a recovery process.

Losses can provide valuable lessons and insights into the intricacies of the financial market. They can highlight areas where improvements can be made in investment strategies, risk management, or research. By reflecting on the losses and learning from mistakes, one can enhance their knowledge and skills, which can contribute to future success. I don;t have much to give but my thoughts are with you.

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

Despite utilizing the correct strategies and possessing the right assets, there can still be variations in the investment returns among different investors. It is important to acknowledge that experience plays a crucial role in investment success. Personally, I realized the significance of this and sought the guidance of a market analyst, which enabled me to substantially grow my account to nearly a million. I strategically withdrew my profits just before the market correction, and now I am taking advantage of the buying opportunities once again.

It helps to invest in companies whose products or services are interesting to you and in which you can see potential value. Or else low risk boring stocks and ETFs, whose outputs are necessary inputs in other supply chains. Ex: apple; look into the components which apple outsources. In this way you capture diversification of the supply chain in addition to the primary stock.

Beautiful and well explained. The US stock and real estate market is something everybody should exploit. There's a lot of potential and I am seriously considering going into one of them. Why not both? You should always remember to diversify your investments given the state of the US economy. Avoid putting all of your eggs in one basket. I have worked in real estate for as long as I can remember, and late last year, using only stocks, I earned my first million dollars (I hired a professional because I also don't live in the United States). In addition, I try out a few other things. It's hard to believe that I first resisted exploring new options.

I think the stock market will go sideways or down just slightly over the next 6 months. I'm hopeful there won't be anymore interest rate increases. The restart of student loan payments should be more than enough to get inflation in check. Personally, I think student loan payments should have resumed a year and a half ago. We probably could have avoided a lot of the inflation that has occurred over that time. It may have even been "transient" inflation as many were calling it back then. Early/mid 2024, interest rates should start dropping and the stock market will head to the moon. when news gets bearish start buying. "Keep it simple simple" that bear/ correction was the best thing that happened me.

At 4:06 you talk about cutting your losses and walking away, I think you’re 100% missing the “don’t lose money” mantra at this point. The point of don’t lose money IS to double down and hold or buy while it’s on sale. You don’t lose money but not selling when it’s dropping.

Different models and parameters are used by different industries but *VRI TOKEN* info is pretty much universal. If you're trying to max your credit scores, there is a happy medium between too many credit cards and none. Too many cards with zero balnce may actually hurt you in some cases. Even if you do not use them, you have a potential. To always pay cash & still have cards doesn't help your scores as well

Either own a business and use the money generated to earn from whatever your business (you) decide to specialize in and also make it the right kind of business. Like a C corp, S corp, LLC. That way to get all the benefits. If you are just trying to invest then just put your money in 500 index and forget it. Preferable as an IRA or 401k. Don’t forget HSA’s and all sorts of other tax beneficial things. Everyone focuses too much on the picking the right company part. Focus on your finances and how to control them. Before anything figure out how to live below your means. I know it is harder right now but that is key before anything
