@@jannorris4140 he doesn't see apple as tech stock, but as a product that everybody addicted to. I think he explained it in 2018 birthday interview.

I've been listening to him since 2009 but none of his interviews resonates more than this one. I think this was his sharpest period from 1975 - 1990, unfortunately we only have one interview from this time.

@@ankuragr294 You've just shown to the world how ignorant you are. Let us educate you with some of the fact that Kiyosaki was sued by Sharon L. the co-writer of the Rich Dad Poor Dad book, Kiyosaki's duped educational course reason for him declaring 2nd bankcruptcy, and a bunch of other dodgy stuff obviously you have no clue of Kiyosaki's background.

Investing in 1985 would not have been very easy. The stock market is way more accessible today than it used to be. Maybe you were rich back then but most people wouldn’t have been able to invest at all.

A good lesson there, don't buy stocks for the sake of it. You may have to wait 6 months or two years for the right company to invest in.

Need a simple methodology for looking at different values. The minimum value of a business is it's liquidating value. The potential maximum value for a business is the total amount of earnings it can produce during its existence. The former is simpler, the latter is nearly impossible to pin down. Simplest way is to look for situations of companies' stock selling below liquidating value, but it must be estimated. There is no definite number, but Benjamin Graham came up with the idea that current assets minus all liabilities including preferred shares and similar securities is a decent estimator of liquidation values. Buying a group of such stock was his method. And it works.

Question: Would it be fair to assume that a company who schedules an "invitation only" symposium for analysts is going to reveal positive news about a 2a trial for their liver related diseases treatment they have been conducting? Could they reveal the actual results(Emricasan) in such a forum? I only ask because CNAT (Conatus Pharmaceuticals)is planning an event for institutional investors and research analysts on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET in New York, and Id like to get in on this stock it if its about to pop! Thanks.

Look at the S&P in 1985 and compare it to the DXY you will find that Buffett was not a genius but had money to spend and knew that the US dollar was way over valued.

I just don’t think I can live life with such lack of stimulation in the middle of nowhere. It becomes unbearable. Idk if I don’t become a billionaire than so be it but it’s just too much in my opinion to live in the middle of nowhere just so you can invest all of the time.
