I loved this discussion! This may not be exactly on-topic but I have a question which I think relates. I am building a studio and I read that lighting is an incredibly important item to consider in designing a studio. If you are designing an art studio and have access to all directions of light, aside from true north lighting being first priority, is there a need or desire for south, east or west lighting? Is there a need or reason to place additional windows in these directions? If so, would there be an advantage to using high clerestory windows on these sides instead of regular windows at regular height? Thanks!
