This movie would have done so much better if they paired up Warren and Layla. These two definitely deserve to be with each other even of the movie wouldn't let them. When Warren showed up only a few seconds behind Layla and they danced. What would have been really cool after they kick Royal Pain's butt and they danced, Warren reaching out his hand and she accepted, creating a fire walkway for her as they danced the rest of the night away underneath the stars, his fire levitating them both in the air, as for Layla her ability to control nature her dress covered in flowers, thorns and, vines accentuating her true beauty and her powers. The rest of the night Warren's manipulation over fire lead them back to the entrance of the school and they go on a motorcycle ride back to her house and they kiss Sorry if I'm going shipping fan-girl crazy right now, I'm still drafting the first few chapters that I'll post on Wattpad or Archive, still not sure which though

Nah, I think they both liked each other deep down but were scared to admit it for different reasons. Layla because she had been in love with Will since childhood and didn't want to let anyone else into her heart. Warren because he knew that she liked Will.

I love how this video showed the subtle protectiveness of Warren to Layla. I used to zoom in on them when the school was falling and I can see that he was holding her arm. And the way he always put his arm out in front of her as if to protect her. So understated yet very sweet. I love their chemistry and I wish that they could have ended up together. But oh well. Fanfiction is there to satisfy my Warren-Layla shipper heart. I wish Steven and Danielle could have a movie together as the main lead couple. I would be so thrilled if that happens.

Watching this as a adult, omg their chemistry is too obvious. Warren lighting the candle at the restaurant, cmon obvious flirting move. And then showing up to the dance IN A TUX, even after Will told him he was no longer attending. Warren literally didn't have to do anything of that but he did for Layla. He even looked a little hurt after she told Mr Boy "the guys at this school are jerks". How could the writers do this to us????

I hope they get to answer these questions. What does Barron Battle look like? Why can't Layla make lemons? How can Warren speak Chinese? Did Gwen really love Will? What are Mr. Boy's powers? and mostly, did the Homecoming fight happened?(Clues: (In the book)The Pacifier exploded 15 years ago and Gwen is 17, (In the movie), Everyone panicked instead of fight her off, Will came to the dance in his regular clothes, Gwen somehow knew Layla had a crush on Will, they were on the ground when the school was falling, Mr. Timmerman's name was Bert and later changed to Chester, and there were 2 buses when "Gwen" told baby Steve about her first past.

We see Barron Battle in the Stronghold Parent's yearbook. It's Warren's actor in bad 70s clothes, so presumably It's a case of the son looking extremely like his father. Layla is 15, even though she's got amazing powers, they probably only manifested a few years ago and she's had to be careful how and where she uses them. She can make plants grow in unnatural ways, but making a different kind of plant produce a different fruit is probably some advanced technique a kid her age has yet to master, even if she has natural talent. Warren comes from a messed up home life. If chinese neighbors or associates of his family took an interest in him as a kid, he'd probably gravitate to their culture and learn things to have surrogate parental figures. He's probably really close with the owner of the chinese restaurant who gave him a job. It's implied Gwen only has vague or repressed memories of her first life. Stitches raised her and she became the dominant one in the relationship because she was smarter more powerful and more ambitious than him even as a teenager. still Gwen is emotionally only a teenage girl. She met a very cute boy who showed he might be on her level, and appreciated that he was totally infatuated with her. Characters with empathy issues like Gwen don't "Love" the way normal people do, because to them all relationships are about selfishness. But she did want to possess him. Mr. Boy did an amazing leap to save baby Jetstream. The leap was especially impressive since he's a short, out of shape, middle aged man. He probably is low level super-agile, and can do incredible feats of gymnastics, but lacks the punching power or durability to fight on the level expected of full Heroes. Lets not forget that out of high school he was assigned to the most powerful hero in the country, and is trusted to lead the hero-support program. He's a cut above other sidekicks. In Marvel he'd probably be considered a "Street level" hero like Daredevil or Spider-man.

A sequel would be acceptable to be set in the future, and I would want to see Layla and Warren revisiting or to have revisited their high school spark. And see Magenta and Zach together still. I don't see Gwen being good again, so I don't know who I'd pair Will with.
