What do you think about a Revenge focused Arms build? Basically the focus is using Glyph of Revenge to help you spam cheap Revenges that cleave and free heroic strikes that also have an improved chance to crit. You will need to get some parry/avoidance (Blade Ward wep ench might help) but it seems like a lot of damage potential. I cant link the build/gear I created but I'm excited to try it.

There could be something there, but overpower is just so broken with it's 100%~ crit chance before resil and UA procs on casters/healers. But I've never heard or tried this so I'm super curious to see what you come up with or if I get around to messing with it!

@@apexanalysis8348 Overpower is great and only gets better in wrath, however I think improved revenge is simply our hardest hitting ability. Add in that it can now cleave AND can proc a FREE heroic strike that has 15% extra crit chance from the talent in Prot...well it seems a bit nuts as long as you can get Revenge to proc. Sweeping strikes, Revenge spam seems to be the new big damage combo from what I am seeing of arena play in BETA.

@@apexanalysis8348 i remeber back in the day it was the meta in tbc and wrath its great of off tanks and mega cleave dmg. my lvl 60 warrior in shit gear is that spec and when i tank ramps im sweeping strikes and revenge spaming. 2.3k crits lol. in tbc it worked with mace stuns since revenge stuned and didnt share DR and had no internal DR

yes, you can. /equip nameof2handweapon /cast mortalstrike , just that easy.

@Ivica Outdoors I personally just drag my weapon on to my bars and hit the keybind. No macro required. But as Dani said that macro they made works. But, you still want to mortal strike while your 1h/shield is on so bear that in mind:)

Yoo man! I was wondering if I should try and capitalize on revenge procs and if yes is there a weak aura or a way to do when it's proced while in battle/bsker stance

A weak aura definitely can help I just mash overpower/revenge when I need to be pressing it regardless so in a way you don't even really need it. And you won't have to swap into defensive to use revenge as arms. You will just be sitting in battle a good chunk of the time using those abilities.

You just have enough globals being taken up between hamstring, ms, overpower, rend, etc. Rage generation is so high as well or at least once you have pve gear that you can constantly hit things and don't want to swap and lose all the rage to the 25 rage cap

Yes definitely. I'm surprised some guides wouldn't put those 2 points in, the massive dem shout range is already amazing for getting people out of stealth. JC Is better than BS for ALL of wrath. And then on trauma, I would still take it regardless if your the only bleed user since deep wounds can create so much damage especially with higher crit gear and of course overpower almost always critting. Thanks for the very informative guide. I've been playing WoW for so many years and I've never played a warrior until now for WOTLK classic. As far as all these macros go, are you able to fit them all on the multi action bars? Seems like you only want your damage spells on each stances hot bar and everything else you would need that's stance specific, will have to be placed outside of the stance bar.

Yeah I managed to make it work. It is a little tricky getting the logistics to work with all of the macros and the different stances like you pointed out. And I don't even use a bar addon like bartender

@@apexanalysis8348 yeah I think this is the way to do it. And I’m the same way I’ve gotten way to used to the standard ui for the bars that there’s no deviating from that. I could maybe bind my stances separately and for example press berserker with one button and then intercept with another, but that’s going to be a bit slower

Hey Apex, I read that holy paladin is the best partner for warrior in 2s. But what about priest? My friends play warrior, lock, shaman. Im choosing to rerol either paladin or priest. But I can't really decide which of the 2 has more setups to play or has a viable dps spec which is decent in PVE and good in pvp

It is by a large margin. Hpal does have more strong comps in every bracket. BUT Disc is very fun and you can do very well with it as well. I've played a bit of warrior disc myself (as the warrior) and it's very very good but the priest dies so much easier than the hpal so certain comps you normally would run over become 50 50 matchups

Hi, very usefull guide. I just startet a warrior and i already ran out of keybinds lol, so many macros :D. What do you think about a disarm focus macro and fear focus macro for arena? Or maybe it is just overkill

Glad it helped, yes I think a disarm macro is very good I use one myself. I don't use any fear macro but that probably would be good to use tbh.

I play the H.Pally in H.Pally/Warrior, and we get absolutely destroyed by Feral Druid / Disc Priest, Assasination Rogue/Disc Priest, and ShadowPriest/Mage is tough as well.. also ShadowPriest/Sub Rogue... We cant break 2k rating in Wrath Classic, got to (and no joke) 1999, then lost the rating down to 1930, climbed back to 1997, and lost it again because all we queue into is Feral Druids, Rogues and Mages with Disc or Shadow priests.. haven't seen another H.Pally/Warrior in 200 rating.. Not sure what we can do against those comps, really frustrating!

Hey thank you for your arena videos and guides overall youre one of the only sources who can back up videos with experience. I have a question: Which dps class/es are the easiest ones to perform with in arena? Talking about classes which dont need to focus that much on keeping cc chains up or watching teammates and dont have much utility which makes playing good harder. I guess Warrior is one of the easiest if Iam right or is there anything easier or similalry easy to learn? New to arena trying to pick up a easier to play class so I can learn the basics faster instead of being overwhelmed. Thanks :)

Your welcome :) - You can perform pretty well as a new warrior but to get to a higher level I think they are a bit harder than some other options. Your best bet is going to be DK with your criteria, and second would probably be feral/warrior!

Both are two of the best without question. I think it comes down to which one you are personally better at(assuming that you will be raiding on both). IF you aren't going to raid then avoid warrior as they are the most gear dependent in the entire game maybe next to feral druids/sub rogues.

Tier 2 weapon is decent. Bryntroll heroic is decent but better for dk's then warriors. Shadow's edge(the pre wep to shadowmourne is very strong for a 264) And then you have oathbinder off lich king. And I think there maybe was a mace too in icc25

Extremely good. Not as broken as the end, however just get a few pve pieces and you can potentially get R1 glad with it.

id say stun mace can be bis if you play with a holy paladin if your high rated enough to face lock/rogue+priest settups, just my opinion tho.

I don't know what stun mace you are referring to. Mace stun was changed to 15% arp in wrath

How do you build rage to use ms often and other abilities ?

High agility + crit rating gear. Also, you spec for endless rage + 5% crit with polearms/axes to help get that high crit chance. It feels very nice playing with such high crit as warrior. Doesn't feel like vanillaclassic warrior at all where you are constantly rage starved

Oh for sure. They will be strong all phases. They just don't have a ton of different 2's comps but the ones they do have in particular hpal warrior is just insanely strong

Yup. But people make that statement not mentioning the fact that they were played on arena tournament servers. Which had the one massive distinction of having extremely poor pve gear available. That changes the meta MASSIVELY and completely changes the viability of comps/specs. Also, those people are amazing players and they would be able to take almost any comp and be at the top. Another reason things are very different is the meta has been developed and fleshed out more over the years on private servers. All of these will show in the ladder soon enough. I think rls is at best a viable comp, however at the beginning of wrath when a lot of people won't know much and rogues in particular are at their strongest, it will do far better then later on.

It's great I'd say its 3rd or 4th best for warriors. Top tier is JC, BS, Engi, Tailoring. But I think JC/BS is Optimal as well as giving the most flexibility for gearing options!

Yeah I get that feeling. That's how my priest friend felt about DK's hahah. I think though warriors add good gameplay overall - it's just a shame that with the right pve gear they become pretty much overpowered, but hopefully there aren't a ton of hardcore pver's who are also good in pvp

One thing to mention in regards to the professions. Yes you can only get Armor pen for JC/BS but BS does not scale nearly as well as other professions in first phase due to only bad gems being available. Therefore you are comparing another profession like enchanting (80AP) to 2 blue gems which give only (64AP). With that being said Blacksmithing is objectively the worst profession phase 1 and should be traded for any other profession besides engineering for a warrior in the first phase.

I mean if you look at it through a lens of raw stats yes other profs give more than BS which is certainly weaker earlier. But nonetheless ARP is amazing for warriors and depending on the gear available to you it still might be worth running it over something like enchanting. (keep in mind profs that give raw AP give no benefit when buffed with Kings(same with ARP, but you _can_ use strength gems as well in BS and of course they get buffed later so you don't have to learn new prof, drop new prof, pick up another one. As I know a lot of warriors have BS from BC coming into Wrath

I have some many questions with this ui set up. Primarily. Why do you need those ugly useless health and rage bars around your character when your hp bar is right below your character. One of these is redundant. And how you decided that awful hp rage bar addon was going to be more useful than a WA? Half of the useful information on gladius is cut off by your action bar. You need to move it. And your arena partners frames are up in west bfe. Why? My man. Your ui could be so much better

Swap Berserking with Executioner and DBW with Whispering Fanged Skull

WFS is better for rets/pregs, definitely far worse than dbw as warrior. Berserking and executioner are about = executioner is better vs casters (which warrior already does well against) and in my case playing on a private server I'm against the dreaded Warrior Hpallies so Berserking is stronger.

They proc together for 15 seconds every 30 seconds which makes your burst very strong, frequent, predictable and you do not rage starve because of the higher crit rate. It gives you the same amount of AP, while with DBW is hit or miss. The only proc that is worth it is STR one at BiS. It is also not as easy to be noticed by the enemy team because you do not change your form. Executioner is used to replace the lack of DBW's ARP and allows you to survive longer because It does not reduce your armor. On warriors less armor means less AP due to the Armored to the Teeth talent.

@@zabban No, Executioner is preferred endgame only. In earlier phases you should focus on getting more s Strength or AP. The stat priority endgame is 5% (164) Hit rating > ArP > Str > AP > Crit rating. You should not gem for the last two. Executioner is better Vs Platers, not like Apex mentioned Vs Casters.

Hey Apex! really cool, new to warrior here and your video are so helpful! I was wondering about weapon specialization during prepatch, since every warrior I see is wearing the S4 2 handed sword in BGs. I'm a boosted green gear warrior and I was wondering if you recommend the S4 2 handed axe still during prepatch? On a side note, I want to do few PvE content (Kara, BT) and ofc leveling in wotlk.

Nice glad they help:) Yeah I've noticed all sorts of different gearing on warriors. The axe doesn't have strength on it which hurts it a little. But for warriors in particular axe spec still is the best so I think they all should be going for it. But the sword looks nice and isn't that much worse. Try and get that axe from kara since it will become a legacy item! (the guitar one)
