Thanks for your reactions, and the dissection of the characters. Really enjoying how little you care about the male characters, and how thirsty you are for Avatrice content. I agree with you in those regards 100%. A couple thoughts I have as a fellow dissector of character motivations: + I really feel like the girl in the bar was taking pity on Beatrice, instead of hitting on her. She starts the conversation with sharing that she's watched Bea watch Ava for 20 minutes, and there's a fair amount of empathy/sympathy she speaks with (like she's pined for someone before and knows what it's like to sit on the sidelines). That being said, she pulls a very 'wingman' move, by building Beatrice's confidence, and then intentionally making Ava jealous to help force a realization/conversation between the two of them. + Regarding the conversation on 'Did Beatrice see the wraith and why Ava didn't explicitly say she blew their cover to save her' - In the same way that Theora talks about camera work subtly telling narrative and character sentiment, I feel this choice of Ava to *not* explicitly speak to her reason for using the halo is a choice (and by extension the show), that directly points to two critical things: First, her character growth. In previous episodes, she's immediately pointed out successes, rationale, or made excuses for things she's done. She doesn't do that here because she's grown, and become more mature in her role as the Halo Bearer. The second key piece in this is her love for Beatrice. As that becomes more robust and deep, she's compelled to protect her at any cost, and that (in Ava's mind) requires no justification. And further, when Beatrice lashes out at the apartment and Ava doesn't justify the rationale then, it's a huge step in Ava showcasing how much more mature she's becoming in relationships and love (which is super necessary if she's ever going to have a healthy relationship with Beatrice over the long term). As we all know, sometimes in relationships you need to have the grace to let your loved one express how they feel, even when you might not agree. In this case, Ava really proves she's relationship material by letting Beatrice be angry even though we as the viewer are along for the journey that shows Beatrice's fury is somewhat ill-placed. + I wanted to also comment that your theory culminating in a sacrifice between the two of them leading to a kiss, wouldn't feel organic if Ava didn't have these subtle little glimmers of growth as I stated above.
