@@JayzsMr It absolutely was an argument though. Most people in fact said KD was the better player. People acted like KD saved the Warriors, and when he left they called the dynasty over. But like the Celtics, Curry has put that argument to bed. Anyone still arguing KD was/is better than Steph is delusional. KD got swept by the team Curry just beat. KD lost to Steph in their only playoff head-to-head. KD's position was filled by two other players and Steph still won. He won with Harrison Barnes and went 73-9 with Harrison Barnes, He won with KD twice, He just won with Andrew Wiggins. Only reason KD has championships and finals MVPs is because he joined Steph and the Warriors. KD has no legacy without Steph and the Warriors. Yet people try to say KD was the best player on the team even though Curry just showed everyone KD was replaceable.

There were two older guys sitting next to me at the bar last night watching the game, 2 minutes into the game with the Warriors down 10, these guys were complaining like “What’s wrong with them? Why aren’t they playing better?” And I’m like “Bruh it’s 2 minutes in, on Celtics home court, with a team playing to stay alive! They’re gonna throw everything they got at these guys.” A couple minutes later, they went on a 21-0 run, and the Celtics were demoralized. That’s the advantage of experience. When the Celtics torched the Warriors in fourth quarter of game 1, Curry smiled as they lost. And they came out and played Game 2 as if they’d won Game 1. But Celtics? Down 3-2, as soon as the Warriors put up a fight, they wilted and just chucked clunkers the rest of the game. They were shook before the 2nd quarter!

Steph is a unique kind of player. You cannot box his value and greatness with stats and trophies tbh. He revolutionized the game. He is the greatest shooter, and the greatest small player of all time. If you go out and watch kids and youth play, do you ever see them still mimicking the others players you mentioned? NO. They are trying to be Steph. He's the "Like Mike" of his era. Who among the Top 10 actualy has influence on how the youth play till this day? It's foolish that I have to spell this out. More than the stats, Steph and Warriors know playing as a team wins the chip. Steph can go for 50 and ball hog but he isn't cause that's not winning basketball. Cause he's unselfish, the whole team is unselfish. Every relevant OG Warriors player said this. His leadership, exemplary work ethic, gravity, off ball play, mentorship of younger players like Poole said so himself... Draymond said just a few weeks ago--you need selflessness to win a chip and their leader is the most selfless guy around. This is basic Leadership 101, when you shine in your role and let your teammates shine in their roles, you make them better cause they own their roles, see their value and flourish. Current and older Warriors pouring praises for him, defending him, playing for him and confessing so. That is a LEADER. Steph's impact haloes throughout the entire team. It's ridiculous the amount of disrespect Steph gets from these analysts. Just pull out his win percentages and plus-minus stats, and go blow by blow on how much defensive attention he gets. Steph's impact on winning is generational. People be saying replace Steph with so and so player and results would be the same cause he got so much help??? Dude... Dude, those were drafted by GSW who improved with him. Steph took a lower pay that allowed Warriors to get some players in their first run.. Andre said he came to Warriors cause of Steph. Even in those Finals, it was Steph getting double and triple teamed. He was injured along with Bogut and Andre in 2016 Finals but did we hear Steph making excuses? He never made loser talk but you got to put respect on his game. Fact is: Whoever Steph plays with gets better. Haven't we seen this enough?? Even with or without Klay and/or Draymond. Plug in Steph and the lineup becomes amazing. He makes his organization and his teammates better, yes, even KD, and the nos. prove it. They become All Stars and champions. Bob Myers said Steph is everything to the Warriors organization and Kerr echoes this saying none of this works without him. And Golden State has been the premiere organization for a decade now. If he wins two more rings and two more FMVPS (not a stretch given the trajectory of Wiggins and Poole) and bags more records, he will definitely land in the Top 5. Sometimes I wonder if analysts are in the payroll of Nike cause they literally make excuses for every player except Steph and always find everything to nitpick while denying his greatness by overblowing another player or situation. The way Steph even had to say, "What are they gonna say now?!" just show he knew all the doubts and slanders. When it's all said and done, Steph is going to be a Top 5 player. He's literally the most influential along with MJ. Is there any other player we can say has changed how the game is played? There's only the one and only Steph Curry. Steph-Klay-Dray is a unique core. People can try to replicate their play and skills but their character, unselfishness and real chemistry were the foundation of this Warriors dynasty. And at the very heart of it is Steph.

yeah probably just because klay was introduced into the team midseason and after i think 1000 days without professional basketball he is still doing some un-klay-like things like forcing the basket or creating a shoot by himself (with sadly not much success) instead of doing more things klay is/was famous for (less dribbling/creating and more running and better positioning for passes/assists) so hopefully after a full pre-season workout he will come back better also his defense became a lot stronger in the last games of the finals as if he had to adjust himself again so it is even pretty likely that it will be stronger next year

What Poole did with Curry resting in final minutes of the 1st qtr and that 10-0 run, is exactly why he's one of the best 6th man of the year players I've seen in awhile. Granted he gets to be on one helluva team and the fact that GS can bring a guy like Poole into the game makes them so hard to beat..but what I really like about Poole is, even though he's an excellent shooter, he comes into the game and gives 100% on both ends of the floor. You see that happening with Wiggins as well. It's clearly a culture that the Warriors have on defense. Everyone thinks of all the 3s because that's the highlight package, but look at the 1st qtr. After GS took the timeout and figured out what Bos was trying to do..they put the clamps on defensively. Very rarely do you see a home team up by 12 early on and by the end of the 1st they're down 5 and only scored 22 in the qtr. Klay Thompson is another defensive stud. For years he's been the other half of the splash brothers, but he's always been an elite defender. If you have enough size then defense really comes down to grinding effort and education on what ur opponents are trying to do. Steph doesn't have the size and body type, but he makes up for it with steals. I've loved the Raptors for some time and I really wish that injury hadn't happened to Klay the year the Raps won. But Nick Nurse is a tremendous defensive coach. Lowry and Vanfleet are 2 small guards, but their D is very gritty and in ur face looking for steals, strips and drawing offensive fouls. If Kawhi didn't make the dumb decision to sign with the Clippers he might have one more ring cuz the Raps could have beaten Bos with Kawhi in the bubble and eventually beat the Lakers. Off topic now, but I mentioned that originally because I remember when GS lost to the Raptors that year and everyone was writing it off as the end of a Dynasty, while others stupidly pondered if it really was a Dynasty...well, there's no question now. 4 titles in 8 years. 6 finals appearances winning 4. That's pretty special. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Horford was the mouse in the house for Curry, Celtics are a great team with a great future. They need a more athletic defensive player than Horford and a guard similar to Chris Paul with clutch moments who can help Jayson Tatum. I am a warriors fan, and we had 2 ugly years before this championship.

Yeah but guards like CP3 don't grow on tree anymore fr tho . Tatum need to help himself more he looked like a deer in headlight . The Alpha in this team was Brown he had some major impact on the defdensive and was aggressive asf maybe too much with the over dribbling . Tbh brown seems hell bend to take the bulls by the horns at time he fell but at least he tried in my books i prefer someone who messed up by effort than someone who overthinking and do nothing by fear . Tatum need to believe in his skills and just play . He is young tho time will tell

@@fangiscool1 true, not just curry, every guards can out-speed centers/PF, help defense is a must. Horford did his best, even knocking down consecutive 3s to keep them to one digit lead.

That last shot with Curry hitting the 3 and waltzing by with the "nighty-night" gesture with Marcus Smart on all fours is just beautiful. I like the Celtics and I hope Tatum/Brown/Robert Williams keep improving, but I can't stand Marcus Smart with all his misplays, turnovers and C-List acting.

Warriors' most complete game of the series, everyone looked _comfortable_, In a closeout game. On the road. At The Garden. In the Finals. _Comfortable_. That's crazy. Boston didn't stand a chance, despite the pre-series narrative, but mad props to a young team and their first year coach for even making it to the Finals. Can't wait to see what happens next year with a healthy Bucks squad in the East and a healthy Clippers team out West!
