Yeah I don't understand why there's no "vs" mode in these games. Just add a few stages, and let people fight each other. It should be a staple of every Orochi game, no idea why they never gave it a try.

you start with only 3 characters on your team, and at each stage of the story you unlock an average of +3, but of course it can vary according to each chapter, there may be stages where you unlock 5, as there may be stages that you only unlock 1 or none

Wo4u is an expansion to wo4u, so in wo4u you get the base game wo4 and you get additions which are more story chapters, few more characters , a new mode called infinity mode, and new gameplay features. Basically go for wo4u
