@@sharonchuang343 Yeah, but it's also more dramatic when you remember that she and Claire did not start out as friends. Marsali hated Claire because she blamed Claire for her family's problems (even though Claire wasn't anywhere around, and it was actually her mother who was nuts who caused all the trouble). And, as she grew to understand that her mother was a crazy, hateful shrew, Claire's kindness and maternal relationship won her over. I think she sees Claire as more of a mother than her biological mother. I think Ian sees her as a mother figure, too.

I think this was the 4th time I watched this video. It's SO good. The deep loyalty of Jamie's men, the courage and bravery shown, the quick gathering at their laird's burning of the cross, Claire's rescue. I remember from the books Claire was lying on the ground, beaten and hurt, and started hearing drums that got louder and louder until she realized it was the sound of Scottish warriors drumming into battle and she knew Jaime had come. The drums also sent the kidnappers into a frenzy of panic and confusion.

An enemy can usually hear the Scots coming from miles away. No idea why Pipers weren't in this scene. They lead every Highland clan into battle. And still do in the Royal Regiment Of Scotland. It means "we are Scots and we are coming to kill you" which is often enough to put the fear of God into an enemy which is why they still do it.

I love this video. We've seen a lot of the passionate side of Jamie, and the sad-lost side of Jamie. There was also the really bad side of Jamie. Those guys who abducted Claire thought they were bad guys but Clair didn't need to be a witch to know who was coming behind them. She'd warned them they'd be dead by dawn. She'd seen her own personal 'fire demon' return from more than one battle spattered in the blood of others. The British soldiers who'd seen him fight at Preston pans were so afraid of him that they kept him in chains at Ardsmuir Prison ten years later. She only had to stay alive long enough for him to get there, because coming he was.

Aye you don’t touch a person’s mate, that goes so much deeper than just spouse. You don’t touch what isn’t yours, and you pay the price if you do. Taking a man’s wife, a man who has fought and survived so many battles, wars, and endless trials, to take her from those who saw her as mother, they pay the price. This brought out that deep primal that exists, it isn’t talked much in our world but it’s there. It can be dangerous and demands the price be paid.

Love can create awful violence in men. If someone harms your loved ones men tend to go Medieval. I have noticed many women comment on these vids. Outlander is a female series with crazy Scots male violence within it. As a Scot myself (with mostly Highland ancestry) all we do now is work and play golf and are regular people. The world had changed thank goodness but some things never do. A man defending his family will fight to the death. Strangely the Scots i believe still have that incredible violence lurking within them which the Romans, Danes and English discovered to their disadvantage. We are a very strange people. Violent and with more Nobel prizes than Israel. Clever and violent seems to be our thing for reasons i can't explain.

I think a small part of me was like, "yes" revenge. A night with a knife at my throat and afterwards it was treated as tho never happened. Not one person that knew ever said a word, even with scars from the weapon. I knew enough at 15 to remember what I saw and heard and stopped him from harming others. I think I love that one episode that was amazing I love the way you turned around and said Kill Them All but I think the best part of it was when he told them she cannot she took notes she cannot even for her own safety and life she can't so I do her killing for her!!! I love that part!!! And i think young Ian is such a handsome man!!!

Young Ian learned a great deal in his time with the Mohawk. He is a fighter. And loyal to his clan.
