So happy that Murtagh didn't die after Culloden like he does in the books. Duncan is such a treasure! I love both of these reunions!

Usually I hate a show/movie deviates from the book. But I was overjoyed that Murtaugh didn't die at Culloden, that he was not only able to see Claire come back but also got to meet Brianna & Ian.

He is- they’re drawing attention to themselves by sing an altered version of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (which is the writers way of reminding us Claire is from the 1940s)
@ninecatsmagee838416 күн бұрын
The "boogie-woogie bugle boy?" WOW, big anachronism there. That was World World Two imagry, not Revolutionary War era. Who's editing the script for this thing?
@kda612 күн бұрын
It was meant to be WW II, not Revolutionary War. Claire was born in 1918 and was a nurse during WW II. She time travelled from the 20th century to the 18th century. Murtaugh is one of the few that know Claire's truth. She taught him that song from her time. She also shared poems with Jamie from her time.

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy? An anachronism?! Or did Murtaugh travel to 1940s America?
@anneb8894 ай бұрын
When Claire and Murtaugh were traveling to different towns trying to find Jamie, they would sing/dance, and ask questions to some of the onlookers. Claire taught him the bugle boy song (obviously) because she said it would be catchier. Then another group stole their routine, and they were using the tune.
