When a fanbase is used to seeing those bs fouls called, it's understandable they brought out the pitchforks on the refs. There were some fouls the refs could have called but I'm glad they let'em play. Can't rely on those foul calls and gotta make more than 25 points in the 2nd half.

its not "suddenly" its playoff basketball. Harden has never been the centerpiece of a team that got this far. Curry had to learn playoffs aren't regular season. Lebron knows this as well. The refs stay out of the way in the playoffs for the most part. in the regular season the nba wants their stars healthy its good business. in the playoffs they dont protect stars.

While I'm not a 'fan' this is why you gotta love the warriors no matter what. Their dudes don't clock out when they don't have the ball. As Rondo says the ball is pure energy and the warriors know this so they try to give everybody as many touches as possible and when one player heats up you just want to give it to him and get stoked everytime he gets a bucket. If you ever played you know how good basketball feels vs the hero ball style popular in the league today. If I get enough touches to see if my hand is hot today you better believe my cuts are gonna be quicker, my screens stronger and my emotion will build. Then if I go 1 of 3 and my boy goes 3 of 3 I'm gonna keep feeding him and getting more and more pumped the hotter he gets. Meanwhile if I'm on a hero ball team and don't even get a touch until the half my screens will be half hearted, my hustle on defense will slack and if the hero is having an off night laying 4 of 20 I might even start giggling under my breath after each brick if it's late enough in the season. That's what makes the warriors so fun to watch, their ball movement is something special and you can say having so many great players makes getting assists easy but it's actually the opposite - giving assists makes great players and attracts top talent. Steph and Klay were merely 'good' players until that team first mentality permeated through out the organization.

Are the Rockets' complaints of a lack of calls justified with the way they play game? For example, James Harden is the beneficiary of calls breaking his way when he initiates contact by hooking defenders' arms; therefore, are the Rockets' complaints of a lack of calls warranted? What are your thoughts?

When players focus their play on influencing the referees as opposed to beating their opponents then they are completely violating the spirit of the game. The referees are there to ensure the game is played fairly, not to be tricked into making the game unfair. If Harden locks up his defender and then pretends like he's being held, *he* should be called for a foul; he is holding his defender.

Solomon Oliver Yeah ok, blame the refs for Curry & KD’s shots not going in in the 4th Quarters of Games 4 & 5 while at it won’t ya? You’re a clown, the Warriors lost fair & square in Games 4 & 5. Game 2 i’ll admit the refs gave the Rockets a lot of help but Games 4 & 5 the Warriors choked away in both 4th Quarters, especially KD & Curry...
@bobdole4916
@bobdole4916 6 жыл бұрын
Well, let's actually apply some thought here. The Rockets getting more calls in a hard fought game is suspect because the Warriors are most definitely the better defense. There are two ways a team can get an unfair advantage in fouls. First, they can receive unfair calls that they don't really deserve based on how the game is being called. Second, they can be allowed to get away with things that were called fouls at other times in the game. It's that second way that can affect the shot of an opponent. Being allowed to foul without it being called means you can ruin the other team's shots and because they'd try to adjust to what's going on, would take worse shots as they try and shoot faster or more off-balance to avoid the defender who will foul without it being called. See, you'll _probably_ miss bad shots, but you *will* miss shots where the defender can smack or grab you with no calls. Reffing can massively affect a game.
@Shadowxdemon1
@Shadowxdemon1 6 жыл бұрын
See the thing was the time of the calls, they got dicked by the refs to start the third with the fouling on capela and they are mentally weak so when they aren’t getting fouls they complain and leaks into there offence and defence

Hi Coach, could you do an episode about Warrior's offensive sets in the WCF? I have been a Warriors fan for quite some time and follow their games closely. I have to say that their sets seem changed so much over the past 3 years from a fluent motion offense with a lot of screens both on ball and off ball into something stagnant with heavy reliance on PF handling the ball from high post especially in this playoff.

“Rockets will head home where role players will shoot better.” This didn’t age well 💀

Questions coach #1 does Golden state ball movement in this series is not as good as before? #2 if it is not as good as before, Is it because of Kevin Durant doing ISO on his own or is it because of great defense of the Rockets so they are forcing the Warriros to ISO?

They can't move the ball as much because the Rockets switch everything and deny a lot of passes

4:05 At this point, Curry was already super upset at KD for not passing the ball to Klay all by himself in the corner, that's why he hurls the ball to Klay in that way, it's a way of saying, COME ON, KD! THERE!

@@absolutejazz1676 “Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the “vox populi” now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, van guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.”

Q: regardless of whether or not NBA refs would call this, is this use of his elbow legal at 5:12? And what about a pickup game?
