Someone else brought up the fact that when Steph is on the bench the dubs are terrible. Hopefully cp3 can solve this problem. But yeah, I'm with you, watching Poole turn the ball over again and again, getting torched while on D, jacking up contested bricks drove me crazy. For me, he had to go. Glad he's gone. Now he can jack up all the shots and dribble the ball of his own feet and fall down all he wants into obscurity.

IMO the whole key of this trade is not what talent we got after trading Poole, is how this salary dump was. Poodle’s value was all time low and it would be even worse if keeping him even longer. His antics on the court was so impactful not only to the playoffs failure, but also to other players like Kuminga. He was a bad apple and it’s a brilliant trade to get his contract off the team
@Kris.H Жыл бұрын
I was all for Poole until I saw him give up on the team in the playoffs. Regardless of the punch at the end of the day you have a job to do and as a competitor you should want to win and do whatever it takes to win. I was one of the ones defending Poole when everyone else said he was a bad draft pick. But now I'm glad we let him go. I don't necessarily agree with the CP3 trade but I do understand it and see the potential in it. But we need more defense and a big. If the Dubs don't go get a big this off season then it is a waste in my opinion. I was hoping they would have made a move for Porzingis though but they were too late. These past couple days have been wild so far. I'm interested to see happens next.

They should wait until this year to extend JP. It’s a front office error. It’s pretty obvious from last year playoff that JP was not comfortable with the ball when the other team put their best defender on him( in the final Marcus Smart gave him a hard time). This carries to this year and at times he’s lost when other teams seriously defend him and result in a lot of last second turnover. Yah, i think they picked up CP3 for the benefit of their young players especially JK. I was a bit saddened that PBJ was traded, i also thought he'd benefit from CP3.

I’ve been watching this warriors team since I was eight years old. I’m 32 years old now. Jordan Poole is by far been one of my favorite players we’ve drafted, but to be honest, after watching him get punched, and after watching him get paid, his body language on the court seems like he quit on us. I really did love him but him quitting on the championship team is not acceptable. I don’t know what their plans are. I’m not the biggest fan of the trade in the sense of the player they traded for, but I love this team I’ve been going to game since Muggsy Bogues was our point guard and I’ll never stop loving them but damn I’m going to miss JP3

I got a 3 successful trade scenarios we could do if we decide to flip CP3 for other players in the order most preferred; CP3 to the pacers for Myles Turner & T.J McConnell, 2nd one is CP3 to the Cavs for Jarret Allen, Ricky Rubio & Lamar Stevens. Last one is CP3 to New Orleans for Jonas Valenciunas, Dyson Daniels and Trey Murphy III… What do u say Alch??

We could have gotten more but it does help. CP3 is consistent. Poole is still immature and killed our chemistry after the Dray incident. This also frees up money after this year for Klay and others and gets us off that bad 4 year deal. It shows we are all in to win now.
@T1Oracle Жыл бұрын
Dray killed the chemistry by punching Poole. The Warriors have no future now. I bet more of them are going to ask for trades soon.

@@T1Oracle The altercation involved more than a punch. Maybe you need to find out all of the details first. Both were at fault but Draymond took it too far. After the fact supposedly there was an apology; but as a player on a “team”, you have to put your team before yourself. Poole did not. He was self centered and multiple players had issues with his immaturity going forward. So when you choose to criticize my outlook, maybe you need to be enlightened with all of the details. I’m guessing Draymond didn’t like being called a bitch. By the way, my upbringing was fine. Knowing all the details is always important.

Dub Nation will love CP3. He will sell tickets and help the core team end their careers with style. I don't expect him to win a championship but it will be SO much fun to watch and Poole made me crazy as well. I never knew who he was playing for. Well, we all did: himself. he can thank the Dubs for a career he would never have had and if he is smart, he will never diss the Dubs. Draymond included. Let's hope they get McGee and a big from the G league.

My first reaction was hell no. It makes the warriors older and smaller. It does solve two issues, that being the point guard minutes when Steph is off the court as well as who is the facilitator when Draymond is off the court.
@lafayettemitchell9979 Жыл бұрын
is this the same 5'9", slick playing, flopping, swipe-thru foul Cris Paul that was on the Clippers? the same guy that's shorter and older than EVERYONE on the GSW roster? The one that's never healthy during the playoffs? So, this is the guy they want when BBall is actually easier and better for TALL people?
@jworthe Жыл бұрын
CP3 doesn't play defense, and you can't have Steph and CP3 on the floor at the same time. The only way this makes sense is if the Warriors are looking to flip him like D-Lo. (Or the new front office is incompetent)

He will run the 2nd unit. Make Kuminga better.
@jworthe Жыл бұрын
@jacobmendoza6050 I know that's what Alchemy said, and clearly he's a glass half full guy. But you don't have a guy making 30mil playing 15 minutes a game. Steph and CP3 would have to be on the floor together at times. And you don't pay a guy that kind of money to be another coach on the bench.

I see Paul as a bigger asset off the court then on the court. He brings a level of leadership that has made most teams better his been on. It removes one piece, although highly talented one, that has brought unrest to this year’s warriors. I‘m not quote as excited, because it does not make the team bigger or more athletic and at 38/39 not sure how reliable Paul will be. For me, he could be valuable off the bench to lead the second unit. If he stays healthy he is a better defender then poole and for sure a smarter guard, but we will loose the scoring punch from Jordan. On the business side of things though it seems to me a great move. JP would have locked out all option for the warriors to stay together and be competitive.

I don't like this trade, real Warrior fans don't like Chris Paul that much either. Pros: Improved chemistry and free up salary getting rid of Poole Cons: Chris Paul won't give us an edge come playoff time. He was unplayable for Phoenix, you'd expect that to change as Chris Paul gets even older?
@jacobmendoza6050 Жыл бұрын
I never liked CP3 but I have to admit that he will help when Steph is out of the rotation. Poole was terrible and just chucked up contestes shots and couldn’t set anyone up.

IMO if we have to trade Kuminga, I want someone in return that is dominant and can potentially get an additional piece by tossing in Wiggs. Thinking a trade with Atlanta for Murray & perhaps Capella. We frankly don’t need another guard but we get scoring + size in return. I’m also for just letting this season be a wash. A trade further complicates the rotations that Kerr already can’t seem to wrap his head around. Let’s go the route of everyone developing in the offseason. See if Kerr is gone. Pauls contract expires. See what Klay takes deal wise. Trade wiggs to make room for a free agent. Then run it back in the fall to see if we have what it takes.

If Leonard Miller from the Ignite is available at 19 and the Dubs pass on him, they'll live to regret it. Dude is Lamar Odom. He's a Swiss Army knife and averaged a double-double. Rebounder, rim protector, passer/playmaker, ball-handler, a stretch 6-10, whose mobile with a motor and high IQ. I hope they get him. He's a baller.

Does anyone remember when Lester Quinones got a roster spot right before the playoffs even though they didn't play him? Remember when he sat and cheered for the team? Did you watch his G-League season? His most improved award? Is he that much below Poole for JP's good points? (Maybe passing for sure). His defense is much better and he doesn't turn the ball over as much right? Do you think he'll get a roster spot? It's nice that he isn't up for an extension until Steph is about to retire or renegotiate. Trayce Jackson-Davis looks good, Julian Strawther too, maybe we get Colin Castleton or Zvonimir Ivicic in the 2nd round or undrafted? I wouldn't mind O Max-Prosper, I like Jalen Slawson a bit.

However, with that said, he will now be coming off the bench and maybe 24 min per, which should help as an aging starter. Alchemy, Draymond Green is the physical alpha in that locker room. No one else has a backbone... At least not enough to stand up against Green. He turned the locker room against Jordan. I don't think pool ever forgave him for it and probably wasn't shy about that fact behind the scenes. THAT'S the body language you were seeing.
