I think this is a massive case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Alpha A is trying to secure Imperial space without revealing their position while Alpha B is working around the backs of even the Alpha Legion themselves for his own benefit.

The Alpha Legion novel is where they really shine. They respect their human operatives more than any legion, maybe on par with ultra marines and salamanders. But all of them are willing to die for the mission. Grammaticus and Eldrad really messed them up with the idea that if the imperium wins, chaos will kill the galaxy, while if horus wins, humanity will go extinct and take chaos with it. The Eldar are maybe the most untrustworthy of all xenos.

Their gene-sires Alpharius and Omegon were well known for treating humans well in what little we know of them. They live up to the Hydra legend perhaps a bit too well, some people imply that Omegon left Alpharius to die and their ability to use blood to power up if you will can allow the primarchs to control their sons to a finer degree. Revealing their thoughts unmasking them if you will which perhaps allowed Alpharius to possess his gene-sons. After all the myth of the hydra for every head you cut off two more grow unless you cauterize the wound. Both the hydras blood and breath were poison in this case the legion is considered partially destroyed because Omegon didn’t have an official rank and they didn’t seem to share power. The mystery of it all lends a great deal to the storytelling.

alphalegion has always been most underrated in my opinion. sure, they are devious and their history is foggy, but on the other hand, their history is an open book - a book which i intend to read front to back just as soon as i find it 💪💪

That's kinda why they are underrated. There is very little lore about them because they are so sneaky and secretive. I do find them very interesting, but when there is little know about them, my interest will be drawn to more "fleshed out" legions.

Your videos are always so well narrated. Your voice acting has always been amazing and I can already see/hear such subtle improvements with each video you release. I remember I used to think you used to enunciate the end of sentences with a lot of emphasis but now I really hear when you do place the emphasis. Another great video. One thing I would mention was that I found the voice changer parts hard to hear/understand at points and could be just a little bit clearer. Really appreciate the time you take to create these

The Chaos Symbol of Slaanesh is the Dark Ice Moon (in various lunar forms). Kyriss the Perverse makes the Hydra Alpha Legion fall to the Dark Prince.

I'd love to see a primarch story of both Alpharius and Omegon after meeting with the Cabal during the Heresy. Switching between the 2 POV's like in this one with Alpharius taking the path of the Warmaster in broad daylight and Omegon serving the Emperor under the cover of darkness.
