The stated objective was to crush the British air force and then bomb at will until Britain came to terms. With the RAF neutralized the rest would have been a completely different story.

Early June, 1967, I was with an A-4 Skyhawk Squadron, based in California. We got word that the Israeli's and Arabs were at it again, and we were to immediately pack up for deployment to the eastern Med. By the time we got our stuff packed up (takes a lot of tools to maintain jets!), the war was over - and we got a stand down order.

I had never learned much of the 6 day war in school here in the US. I had always heard about it though and how the Israelis were outnumbered and outgunned by the Egyptians but I didn’t realize how much! Their quick thinking and ability to mobilize their forces, how much of a role it played. Having the actual tank men telling part of the story was particularly impactful as well. Those men made history. Thanks for the upload!

In the 1948 war, the entire Egyptian army was occupying most of Israel and actually occupied Jerusalem, Fallujah and the Negev, and besieged Tel Aviv before the armistice, while in the 1967 war, the Egyptian army did not fight, most of it was fighting in Yemen, the war lasted 6 years between the two countries We completely destroyed the Israeli city of Eilat in 1969, and the war ended with the victory of Egypt in 1973🇪🇬💪

Israelis lived for generations knowing that the October 1973 war was a defeat for Israel, a fact that all Israelis know, while Egyptians have been celebrating every year since then. The famous victory speech given by Sadat in the Egyptian Parliament on October 6, Egyptians celebrate the National Day of the Great October Victory. Then with the spread of the Internet and communication sites, the Israelis woke up from a deep slumber. Then they remembered and said we won. This is ridiculous.😂😂.

You have to remember this is only a part of the story... At the same time, we were attacked by Jordan and Syria... We fought a 3 front war and though vastly outnumbered defeated each attacker with the same skill and decisive precision... We took Jerusilum, as well as the Golan Heights in this same war... We would much later in the October war 6 years later face the same attacks and come out victorious once again... We did return the Sinei to Egypt in exchange for a peace treaty, but not so for the Golan Heights and Syria... We also have a peace treaty with Jordan but maintain full control of Jerousilum for the Jewish people, and all people...

This is ridiculous.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wow, what an amazing feat. I didn’t understand what the vanguard commander meant by going from tank to tank as he was hit. 7:43. He actually got into another tank coming behind him, under fire? Wow. From the enactment, it appears that he is alone. 8:04. Tank warfare is ferocious, not only tank to tank and of course structures, but precarious to the crews inside. The later descriptions of men emptying from their tanks like human torches was horrible. Speed and surprise, the ingenuity and skill of the crew must have been shocking to the enemy. The later statement that the Egyptian force stayed together and fought longer than others as a unit, even under dire circumstance, was very telling of them as well. Strategically brilliant, astonishing. Bravo, Israel! I also wanted to comment on the Israeli military giving water to those who surrendered. 14:05 “The quality of mercy is mightiest in the mightiest.” (Herman Wouk, a Jewish author and screenwriter, from his book and screenplay, The Winds Of War, where Pug quotes Shakespeare to FDR) Mercy and mighty fit very well here. Bravo, Israel. Bravo, Israel!!! I find it fitting and amusing that all this was accomplished in one week. Six days to work, and rest on the seventh. Highly interesting how it worked out. Very interesting indeed.

There were no Taxis. I talked a man into taking me to my Uncle's House on the Yarkon. On the way we passed HaKirya, military headquarters. On the West side of the installation huge mass graves had been built. The Israelis had every reason to fear the worst and prepare for it. No, they are fought by western support. Isnt it freaking obvious ? we put them there in 48 because we needed an outpost to control the oil rich middle east. So we armed the jews to the teeth and told them to take and hold their promised land. Nothing better than using some idiot religious zealots to do the fighting for you. And if you really like the whole god story, you should see that this is a war between two brothers who believe in the same god, but just have the details different. I am not religious, but i clearly see, the Christians, the Jews and Muslims believe in 90% the same story. Its just that one of them thinks jezus is the son of god, another group thinks he was a lesser prophet, Muhammad being the most important prophet, the third group not putting to much weight to the whole prophet thing. But besides that, the books contain exactly the same stories to the degree that you can just consider them different translations of the same book. And now you all keep fighting and killing each other in the name of your god. one and the same god. so damn sad.

Khalid ibn Walid, companion of proohet Mohammed, with 10.000 men defeated a 40.000 strong Byzantine Christian army. He fought dozens of battles after that and never lost even 1. The prophet called him "sword of Allah". And the sword of Allah never broke
