He mentions its not the most efficient way to use these missiles. In reality its not practical at all, because you have to get close enough that the enemy can also fire back and force an engagement. This tactic only works for Phoenix enjoyers because of its long reach.

Make proper enduring confrontation rework: A option for realitistic air enduring confrontation. Split forces for simulator so you don’t fight against soviet mig21’s and have gdr ones on your team. Make Warsaw pact a nato line ups to Crete so you can combine you Taiwanese f16’s witch us f15’s for example. This also enables everyone being able to play with his friends in simulator because of the weird nation alinements that forbid you to play some minor nations together on the same team since most minor nations like Italy or Germany have a sub tree that includes eastern and western planes and tanks. Also bigger maps for high br and more targets

You need to set a keybind to lock radar as the simplest, there are other keybinds worth using like type of radar and acm mode on/off, then you just need to have the missile selected and use same keybinds for the ir missile

PLEASE READ this (even though it's a bit long, your help is needed guys ,it's about Jet TopTier) Given the arrival of the new missiles, why not create wider maps and make the missions within the game more important, (such as in Sim btw) Right now I see that in TopTier the RB games will last from 4 to 5 minutes and all this without even having eye contact with the enemies, a team deathmatch that will become too monotonous and that a nation (probably Russia, in 70% of cases will always win) instead creating new types of matches and missions, you can make the strengths of each nation prevail. I would have an idea of a mission that is already present but in my opinion badly exploited, I am talking about the escort of bombers and assailants, right now these missions are ignored and you immediately launch on the enemy, but you could create a game based on this, always two teams, which will then divide into two parts, attackers (which will leave from the airport) and defenders (they will already start in the air). The attackers have the goal of finding and neutralising the enemy bombers / assailants (obviously the map must be large enough to make this task not too easy) before the opposing attackers do it or the enemy bombers manage to finish their work (to the player who manages to locate and share the position of the main bomber team to his teammates first, receives bonus points), the defenders have the goal of getting the bombers to the base but here comes the beauty, the defenders or just their leader can decide altitude, speed and which Route (with limits imposed in order not to sabotage your team or make it too strong, for example the speed of your bombers is inversely proportional to the amount of bombs and transportable fuel which requires more aircraft that makes them easier to detect by enemy radars and things like that ) its bombers must undertake to reach the different objectives to be eliminated (these objectives such as bases or ships must not be shown in the map of the enemies since at the moment they are destroyed the position of the bombers would be compromised) I would add that Given the range of the powerful aircraft radar that favours the attackers it is possible if defenders to create a sort of diversive fleets of bombers that even if destroyed will not determine the defeat of a team but that can still complete some assignments or provide points to the attackers who shoot them down. Players once eliminated are allowed to return in unlimited parts but from the aircraft harbour both as a defender and as a striker. I think that already so would be a little more worthy of being called “Seek and destroy”. I would say that for now only a few maps are decent to use this game mode that's why I recommend importing the Sim maps also in RB, but only in Top Tier since only the Jets can cover certain distances. Gaijin, as long as you take this message into consideration, I would be happy while you other War Thunder players like to point out this message and comment in order to tell me what you think and/or make some improvements or better yet if you also have other ideas.

So if these missiles automatically track with their own radar when they are close enough technically then you can launch them at any range with high accuracy as once they get close enough they can accurately track and hit a Target when the missiles radar locks on and the only thing limiting the missile is fuel

its a fire and forget missile with its own radar, you just need to provide it with a target, acquire lock, and fire. The missile does the rest.
