Slope INCLINOMETER Installation

Slope inclinometers/indicators are used to determine the
magnitude, rate, direction, depth, and type of landslide movement.
This video presents the installation of Inclinometer pipes to monitor ground movement.

You should have tremie pipe to the bottom of the borehole to ensure grout goes in from the bottom up.

What the filling do you use , only cement?

we know that the composition of the grout depends on the nature of the soil, therefore, which composition to choose in the case of a superposition of a hard layer with a plastic layer. thank you

omg when that cement truck pulled up I started dying of laughter.... WTF is a cement truck doing at an instrumentation installation...Best of luck

Did you not put any tape around the coupler joints? How will you be sure that the cement does not enter the inclinometer casing and block it up or obstruct the keyways? Also - are using a concrete mix for back filling the borehole? No bentonite? If you back fill the annulus of the borehole with concrete all you'll end up with is a reinforced column of concrete with a plastic pipe in the middle.... And where is the slope? I don't see it in the video? It looks like your drilling and installing on level ground.....

That is what the "O" rings on the male thread is for.

Why did you use ciment?

To confine the pipes and hence move the lateral pressure to the inclometer rode and measure the angle of inclination

Usually people do this test in new slope constrcution..so why you are doing that on level ground i dont understand the purpose..
