Update: So there was a rattle in the head stock and way high string action... Loose tuners. So, I go to tighten them, and one doesn't... D: A replacement tuner was only 16 bucks, and nicer than the factory tuners! Suffice to say that now I gotta swap all the hardware to black, and the tuner knobs to some of their wood options. :O

I don't mean to sound bitter, but I've been playing bass for 30 years, and I still play the bars every weekend. And I can not, have not and never will be able to afford a Warwick. So I have to pretend I'm satisfied playing Fenders. Don't get me wrong- I love my Fenders, but Warwick's are like having a Ferrari in the garage. The only difference is I could make money with a Warwick, and sound so much more awesome if I had one. Oh well, dream on...

Handcrafted ? ...by many machines ?!
@ah2528
@ah2528 8 жыл бұрын
I know what you're thinking but honestly having the ability to so accurately machine expensive woods like Warwick uses really is the best way. And as you can see there is substantial hands-on work as well the machines really only do the cutting. Being able to consistently create beautiful basses with precision is very important especially considering how famous Warwick has gotten in the last decade alone. It really is a benefit.They can crank them out fast obviously as well.
@77JeffT
@77JeffT 8 жыл бұрын
Your basses are beautiful, the woods are beautiful but just finishing is done by hands; there are luthiers that use far fewer machines than you and who themselves can say "handcrafted" !
@kevaillo2563
@kevaillo2563 8 жыл бұрын
The cuts done by Warwick's machines are those where the luthier removes big chuncks of wood. The precise hand finish is the same.
@oliverjackson5070
@oliverjackson5070 8 жыл бұрын
Whether or not the basses are made well, the point of saying handcrafted is to give people the understanding that someone used hand tools to make these. To make them the same every time by hand tools is the skill that they're trying to sell. Besides, who wants the same instrument as someone else? If mine is slightly off than yours it means I have something of my own from the same company. which is way more valuable to me

Sanding is the most nasty, noisy, time consuming and horrible part, of building an instrument, and it has to be a perfect job, or it will show, on a neck through even more of a pain to do. Saying that machines are doing all the work really isn’t fair.
