Such a relief to be finding small bits as opposed to trash! I'm surprised you didn't wave that root over the coil as it sure seemed to be the target. Then break it down to locate it.

You are right mate, I didn’t realise it was the root until I came home to edit the video. I’ll go back one day and check it out 👍👍

You are lucky man 👍 Very large nuggets. I got into gold prospecting four years ago and have never found a nuggets like you. My largest piece of gold was a size 14, 14 mesh 👌🙂

Haha she said it’s not the size that counts but let’s face bigger would be better surely 👍👍

Cool you’re getting better there so much gold in the ground and they’re getting smaller with large nuggets taken out but there still heap more nuggets out there a wee deeper 👌

Hey mate, yeah it’s an advantage having the 6000 but we can take some credit. Hope to see you in Clermont brother 👍👍

Thanks Smokey, may I ask if you had a GPZ7000, lived in Brisbane, and had no 4WD where would you go that would give you the best chance of finding nuggets, based on your experience? I don't mind hiking a fair way, I need to get some funds in before I go far north.

Well done Smokey, yeah the mystery signal sounded like ground full of iron stone/hot rocks to me, If I'm running my 5000 hot and sensitive like a 6000 it will give me a false signal swinging from an open hole over the shoulder of the hole to, usually only when the ground is really hot like Carbean can be. When you had the signal first out and moved, it would have been iron stone, the 6000 then tracked it out and got confused with swinging over the shoulder of the hole if that makes any sense lol.

Yeah I have never heard a small tree root sound like that but I was hearing no hot rocks at all that day too but I understand what your saying and maybe you’re right. Maybe there was a nugget stuck in that tree root as it seemed to follow it haha 👍👍
