man 150+ gbs for the download. Ive been pondering the download due to using mobile wifi on top of wondering if the device even runs cod. Now i know and ill have no regrets. Thank you for the video. You went over everything i wanted to see. The resolution, fps, and latency seem fine 4 me. Dont remember if Lenovo AMD driver has super resolution feature but i side loaded AMD's new driver to get frame gen. I've been utilizing frame gen with super resolution and have been upscaling from 800p on most games and the experience overall has been 👍. Getting better frames from 40 to 60 on the finals and 60 to 90 on apex upscaling from 800p

I was between buying this and a gaming laptop, but because of the hot sale (here in Mexico) I prefered to buy the 1 TB Legion Go and a MacBook Air (since I have been an OSX user for more than 14 years) I hope I have made a good choice. To be fair, before i mostly buy some hardware i make sure i buy the best hardware for me there is. Means a hardware possible of high fps and good graphics. So i scout vids like these to see how the game looks and peforms. For that a 10sec cut of showing current settings (and idealy the highest possible) can be insanley helpfull. Also like an fps counter. Also i like to get the tech about the handgeld. Like u coverd it on the G8 Galileo wich i buyed today.

Hey man, i see you got micro stutters on your device too. Did you fix that problem yet? And another one question, what amount of UMA Buffer do you use? Or you didn't change anything in bios?

I use 8gb vram for uma buffer. Micro stutters are ongoing I just sort of put up with them and hope for the best right now.

@@vados4694 I wouldn’t say stuttering is an issue across all demanding titles. The stuttering in cod has a lot more to do with the connection than it does with the optimization and overall performance of the game. Overall I think it’s safe to say that call of duty is more well optimized than BF2042. As for how well connection and performance translate to that game on this device I am uncertain since I haven’t tried it. Assuming it doesn’t stutter I think it will for sure be less smooth overall in comparison but definitely still playable. If my steam deck ran it, I don’t see why the legion go wouldn’t be able to.

I prefer to play mostly on the legion for the bigger screen. Both are great devices though and can have stuttering depending on connection and graphic settings. For the most part though, most experiences are pretty smooth.

The Legion Go has Hall Effect joysticks which should prevent stick drift and are also swappable yes in the case that they become damaged or do end up getting stick drift.

Perhaps by remapping in steam controller settings but I don’t see how that would be beneficial here 🤔 touching the screen either shoots or allows you to look around by default. I can’t remember specifically but I’m sure it can be changed.

I got up to the training grounds and it was terrible. Load times were super long, frames were dipping badly. It was unplayable basically but maybe with time I can get it to run correctly.

@Misaac were you running the android mobile version or the pc version? I've heard you can play android games on some of the new handhelds like the Lenovo legion go and the rog ally? The mobile version does seem to take long af to load match's. The pc version isn't as bad but still does take a lil bit as compared to other games. If your having issues running the pc version turn down the graphics quality and resolution and try fsr 3, if all else fails try frame generation but that might add some input lag to the mix despite raising the fps.

Prob. about 50 to 60fps when playing on 1200/800p and 30wats plugged in, and yes you can dock it to a monitor just like a switch but pick a good one though.. other whise your fps will go down a lot

Resurgence maps ran well over 70fps at 800p. The 50-60+ is fair if we are talking about the bigger warzone maps. Also the monitor does not determine the fps. The resolution increasing is what could lower the fps. For example playing on a monitor at 1080p could noticeably decrease performance even if playing on lower settings. You can’t expect the same level of performance for a game like this when playing on a monitor at a higher resolution. You can play on a monitor at a lower resolution to maintain frames but the picture won’t be as pretty on the monitor as it is on the handheld itself. The game and device work with a monitor yes. But the monitor does not determine how well the game performs.

They both run the game pretty great but I’d say I like being able to see more and feel more immersed with the Legion GO screen. For a fps like cod, I think it benefits from the big screen for sure. Although if I just wanna casually lay down or sit on the couch n play, the Ally is less heavy. Just really depends what you’re looking for in a handheld.

How's the scaling when using this with an external monitor maybe?

You can use the monitors’ resolution. The picture stays sharp but performance decreases. With FSR/Upscaling. You can play at a resolution lower than that of the monitor and lose some quality but it helps the performance while still trying to maintain a clear image.

It’s a preference thing. I think calling it the future of handheld and console gaming is an overstatement. I’ve talked about how I think it’s good for small adjustments in aim but not to fully make use of it in every situation/ game. Again that is just my opinion.

Xbox is also adding motion sensor aka Gyroscope in their new controllers like PS5 dual sense and it narrows the gap of mouse and keyboard on consoles by 100% . Now companies don't have to add aim assist and games can be fair and square. But let's see . I myself moved from mouse to a dual sense controller in Apex. It's much more sophisticated and easy . I don't get tired and I can just sit on sofa eating popcorn and play Apex as well unlike mouse and keyboard. Which was such a drag and also those old controllers without Gyroscope kinda frustrated me To be honest gyroscope has been game Changer for me . And I can shoot enemies far away without any recoile problem which I had i with old controllers. ❤️

@@_captain_yt My reasoning for calling it an overstatement, is not because I dont think there is a place for GYRO moving forward. But because I think up to this point in time it is in its own category of input method and exists mainly within a niche. Although motion controls have been a thing for a very long time now and have gotten better. I do not think we have made a leap to prioritize it. The wii and Xbox kinect tried this in the past for example, but since then It is something that has existed as an option and i do not see games/devs nor console makers pushing for this to be a primary way of playing their game or using their device. The biggest push ive seen thus far however has been with the PC handhelds to emphasize how great GYRO is and where its going. Moving forward I could see a stronger implementation of the feature as an option but I do not see this overtaking the default gamepad option in games anytime soon.

Slow motion is crazy. With one finger, swipe up from the bottom of the screen when you’re in the game and need to type. Your taskbar will appear, and there’s a keyboard icon on the right of your taskbar you can click on to get it your keyboard to pop up.

@@Misaac I just Bought a Galileo G8 which is a controller for the phone like the backbone and as phones and get more sophisticated I'm finding handhelds like the Lenovo are going to obsolete fast, because of cheaper alternatives to Immulate gaming on the go, the other day I was playing Helldivers 2 on a 3y.o smartphone through PlayStation Remote Play I'm going to have to test it the feature will function properly using mobile data.

It’s not for simply showing settings. It’s (allegedly) for opening the legion space software/messing with legion space settings, overlays, changing TDP, etc. while the game is open. The best way I could have displayed all of that in this video would have been to showcase all of the legion space settings before opening the game. But I just found that I would’ve dragged the settings section of this video for a little longer than I wanted when I wanted to include gameplay and have the enjoy-ability and playability be a large focus here.

Yeah on 3060ti still feel a micro stutterring 1080p high, lol even AMD high frame rate 147fps, 1% low 110fps and still can feel it. LOL multiplayer runs so smooth unlike BR
