There's an option for that when you're at the menu, switch off the auto fill party tab. Then you can play solo. That's how I play 🙂

I was not a huge BR fan so used to play warzone plunder. I liked you could respawn. But DMZ is absolutely my favorite. Maybe because i dont *have* to engage enemy players or i can. I love that option. I love the missions and the extraction with lurking enemy players because it’s is so adrenaline-pumping. Also a great way to extract is by completing a hostage rescue mission and leaving with that helo. Safer if you need to get out with solid gear and missions accomplished.

Really hope they update dmz often. Would love to be able to take other players backpacks we can take their vest why not backpack. Giving us a way to craft guns by extracting with parts found around the map would be amazing. Being able to store armor vests backpacks and cash in your stash would also be a dream

Played 20 hours solo so far, and while it's definitely unforgiving I'm still itching to play more As mentioned in the video I try to avoid other players as much as possible, although with the TTK as it is if you can get the drop on an enemy squad (especially at close range with the mag-fed shotgun) you stand a decent chance. Anything that puts you on the map is pretty high risk, mainly Strongholds and UAV towers. Hostage Rescue contracts are your friend, as while it can be hard to get through the armored guards in time you get a free exfil that isn't in one of the 3 mains to avoid campers. I haven't seen any campers yet though. The map's big enough that as long as you pay attention to gunfire and if your surroundings are looted you can avoid most contact, barring bounty contracts or people driving straight up to you by chance.

Maybe if they can inject a bit of plunder and allow you to bank cash and other items looted during the game before you exfil? Either deposit it on an exfil chopper or have the same methods as Plunder with the choppers lowering cases or finding a balloon.

My buddies and I can't stop playing it either. The contracts keep us busy and we get side tracked chasing weapon briefcases. We roll up to exfil sites in a armoured jeep now from drop off contracts cuz teams camp them now. We are truly having a great time!

agree, this afternoon i got killed by a bot shoooting from underground, he was literally fused with the floor, i couldnt shoot him, but he certainly could shoot me, not to mention the floating bots shooting from 20 feet above

No, your gunshots draw enemy from that area, enemy only spawn from helicopter/truck reinforcements which can be easily spotted.

Playing solo is possible and really fun, just have to think what you are doing. I not even once get in with team, always solo and I have M13B and RPK blueprint unlocked. For anyone wondering, pick your fights smartly, a lot of players go solo/duo and not trio so it is manageable, bring spotter scope and use it in thermo mode. You can spot any danger from quite the distance. The bigger problem are AI in solo not other players. If you underestimate NPCs, you will be anihilated instantly.

Got a cousin w/ most or all but the DMZ weapons camo'd out, best friend just picked it up. I'm much better KDA in BLOPs but doing better than expected. I'm mid 30s, bunch of xp tokens so if you want a squad of people that know one another & can fit into a niche (likely know more than me & def my bud, doesn't meta dive but brilliant tactician, good Royale player.) Cousin plays WZ, I'm not there yet but definitely need a DMZ guide, if you'd like a couple dudes that enjoy MP & dmz for now. Hmu if so, I'm at scratch, willing to suicide mission it lol, cheers.

Play this mode almost exclusively solo. There is definitely fun to be had, you know the odds are stacked from the start and have to play accordingly, but undoubtedly there is frustration when you bump into a squad and it's almost guaranteed death. Vehicle cargo missions are also very challenging.

hey bud, I also love it, met some good people, I also didnt expect to like it. best bit, 9 players converging and me yelling 'oi oi oi chill chill chill!!! ' then my team saying, dont go they will shoot you and me saying, im gonna be a hero... watch this... and run in yelling half boozed up begging players not to shoot. then having an intense stand off while we all wait for an exfil. With regards to solo play, it's definitely possible. I'm a terrible player and have worked through around 14 missions, a few squad wipes solo. It's just a matter of positioning and patience.

This is only DMZ Beta too so it can only get better with later patches and updates, so hopefully they listen to player feedback and make the necessary changes. I really hope this becomes a staple game mode. One big thing I hope they change is make the proximity voice chat better. Almost like Escape from Tarkov where it's omnidirectional and accounts for distance so that you can pinpoint the direction and distance a player might be from you from their voice.

I noticed it was always spawning me on the southwest side of the map. But, when I took the Basilisk mission, it did spawn me by the police station where you guys were spawning. I wonder if it makes an effort to spawn you closer to mission objectives in some way. It could have just been a total coincidence, however.

Tarkov doesnt have endlessly running matches. When loading in as PMC you will be matched with other pmc’s. Once there is enough PMC’s to fill the player count of the map it loads then all into the same raid at the same time. PMC’s spawn based on spawn clusters. When loading as scav you join in the middle of an active game

@@sS0ulSs There is a few issues like AI can actually headglitch on some rooftops and the bullets just appear from nowhere. and a few times you can be shot through certain materials that you as a player cannot shoot back through. (IE. the walls on the moving train, AI you drive past will melt you through the walls sometimes randomly)

5:20 You can keep items in the menu you hit R To remove them and stash them in the menu you also keep set player items like gas mask streaks armour pouch and self res if you successfully exfil

You cannot store additional vests, masks, etc. And you have to take them with you on the next mission. We want to be able to store more item types than keys in the stash

SOLO "mode"/queue please. It's difficult enough to complete some of the missions on your own, while being the main and ONLY target of all the BOTs you encounter. But then you also risk meeting 3 man groups, who can revive each other even though you kill some of them. It's a little broken, and results in tons of potential solo players not playing DMZ. Yes, people can group up with randoms, but there are lots of introverts and non-english speaking players, meaning that for many that isn't a good option/solution. I think the DMZ would be much more popular in the long run, if a solo "mode"/queue existed.

I like DMZ mode but I prefer to enter alone over some randoms when my actual friends cant join and man I have to tell you its hard to solo DMZ mode. They key is not to shoot AI because then you give your position away to other players then eventually you get flanked by a player squad. The AI on the other hand can easily overpower you when you solo. Solo creates an extremely slow game pace.

I solo DMZ all the time, I don’t have too much trouble for most of the missions. Easy to get in go straight to a good loot location and exfil right away, then the next session is “easy” to do a mission.

A lot of ppl complain ai is dumb. I think it’s a good level right now though they are powerful yet not too smart. Too smart would make it so hard. You still have to consider ai concentration and engage or not depending on your missions and intentions. Perfect
