Let’s be real-Warzone 1 was just a superior experience compared to what we have now. They tried so hard to "innovate" that they ended up stripping away what made the original so damn good in the first place. At this point, I don’t know if Warzone can ever recapture that magic. They had a perfect battle royale, and instead of refining it, they butchered what made it special. If they really want to fix Warzone, bring back the OG mechanics, Verdansk, and let skill matter again.

That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. Even if by some miracle, everything falls into place in time for Verdansk (servers, anticheat, audio, bugs, etc.), I don’t think Verdansk would be enjoyable with Warzone’s current gameplay loop. Like JackFrags explained in his video, Warzone doesn’t play like a BR anymore. There is 100 different ways to respawn, meaning your life has no value, and there is no punishment for dying. You can get your loadout almost instantly. Vehicles are useless because of how poor they handle and because there will be redeploy baloons that will allow you to travel from point A to point B with no risk. Gunfights are nowhere near as thrilling and adrenaline pumping as they were before. The pace is relentless and there is no downtime, no time to breathe. Battle Royale has essentially degenerated into a TDM in a big map and a shrinking circle.

Likely because there aren't enough people on to populate the servers AND work through their matchmaking algorithms. Warzone has less EOMM & SBMM, but it's there. And when you add more maps/modes you fragment the player pool more than it already is with the various solos, duos, trios, quads standard modes. Then you add in some LTMs from the various events and suddenly everyone trying to play those maps is suffering from very poor match making quality and it become even more difficult for the company to hide their BS and retain players. So instead, they just give you a vanilla offering of one big map and one or two small maps to make sure the match making words on their terms.

First button during S1 brought you straight to multiplayer where the BO6 button loaded the BO6 main menu which has Multiplayer, Zombies, and Campaign to choose from. Now that first button is a hot link to the battlepass. It's reminiscent of how the Squid Games event was placed between the Lobby and Loadout tabs causing many people to accidentally equip the Squid Games skin when trying to access their loadouts. This behavior and choices by the devs absolutely needs to be called out, it's ridiculous they're forcing the paid stuff down our throats like this when the game is in such an awful state.

Omni movement is the reason most people quit. It is clunky. Not smooth. Like your character feels drunk. This movement is the MAIN reason why the game is terrible. Never in cod history have we had this movement. MW3 movement was crisp and precise.

What makes me so mad not only about this season but for the past few warzone updates is the lack of meaningful changes, they didnt even try with this balancing update, the only thing they have been doing is reducing damage range, like someone will stop using the jackal because they reduced it by 1M, i was rolling by eyes while reading the patch notes, because it has been so long since we saw a good weapon change. And this is if we disregard the other problems, like aim assist still being broken in warzone even tho it has been nerfed in multiplayer and the lack of clear visibility, specially for MNK players in some areas of the map

A big reason for the falling player base is the "improvements" to make things quicker. Balloons, higher ttk, omni movement etc. All designed to make the game more enjoyable for the top 1% of players. Killing people became harder for most players and easier for the sweats. No enjoys dieing over and over again. Game styles like positioning etc are completely useless now

There are times on Rebirth where you will hear everything, even music when someone else picks up a gun. Super loud, very distinct. Then in the peaceful, non chaotic, boring times you can't hear a team running full speed behind you on a metal roof. Not to mention footsteps that sound on a floor above you only to be in a building 70 meters away.

Current Bugs Still in Warzone (Season Two) - MW weapons never got reworked - MW slide to fire has not been fixed - Missing attachment categories in the Gunsmith for multiple MW weapons (Ex: "Handle" FJX Imperium - Weapon builds still don't save for some players in Warzone - MW guns climb as you are firing, obscuring your view when firing or trying to use an optic (good example is the iron sights on the MTZ-762 JAK Heretic Kit) - Some of the MW thermal sights have been screwed with and are now completely unusable (Schlager Night View is a prime example) - On MW weapons, there are dozens of high zoom optics that have scope shadows (A perfect example of this is the XRK Stalker & MTZ-762) - Hearing people with game chat disconnected - Clan tags bugging out, non-offensive clan tags being flagged as offensive, and players not being allowed to delete or change their clan tags (same thing happening with gamertags) - Keybinds keep resetting - Loot on low shelves still doesn't auto pickup - Kar98k's optics are still misaligned (shoots slightly to the right) Gunsmith and Create a Class is all over the place: - Your new build overwrites your old build, and your new build doesn't even save - If you have two of the same weapons on multiple classes and you try to change its attachments on one class, it will change it on all the classes - Some MW weapons don't show their correct levels - MW prestige camos show the challenge "Get the _____ to level 2" - MW weapons have multiple event categories, and they have repeating camos in one of them

Same goes for Activision controlling COD. Microsoft has NOTHING to do with the development of the games. The only people who lost their jobs during the purchase were redundant employees (HR, Accounting, etc). All other development of the games went unchanged and no employees were let go. Meaning, Microsoft literally changed nothing.

I think their decision to not release Avalon was pathetic. Should have been dropped on release, fresh map - then Verdansk comes later and picks them up when the inevitable mid year slump hits. Deciding to lazily bank Avalon for next year and let the players spend the first 6 months of the games lifecycle rotting on Urzikstan, which wasn’t even particularly liked from MW3 anyway, was just such a stupid, short-sighted lazy decision.

It’s not just the issues in stability with the game, but the slow and steady moves away from good gameplay that is fun combined with it. The game bleeds hardcore players and casual players alike because of the constant back and forth design philosophy and then the players who do like those changes are forced to leave because of the horrible servers and other things you outlined. Both kill the player base and are why changing something at this point is unlikely to do anything impactful enough.

I played every CoD every year from 2006-2024. Used to go to the midnight launches and take a week off work on release week with the boys and have a LAN party. Buy the prestige care package editions that had things like RCXD cars and night vision helmets in them. There's no way I could calculate how many hours and £1000's I've lost to Call of Duty. Now it's FREE on GamePass and I've not even installed it. They could announce they've fixed EVERYTHING you've talked about in this video and all the other videos and it's not enough. The warning signs have been there for years and they've blatantly ignored it. We're cash machines. And this is someone that used to go to the midnight launch and buy a copy of every version. The difference then was value for money R.I.P

Where I do agree that people haven’t left because of content being removed, I truly think it’s awful that we can’t just boot up the original Warzone and play it right now. Even WZ2… there will be people that like that version of the game, and they can no longer play that. We’re forced to play this one version of WZ, the current version, which has now been changed so many times it no longer actually feels like WZ anymore. It’s so far removed from what it was in 2020 and people are clocking on to that and getting out. Maybe it’s impossible to get that magic back from back then, when the lockdown happened and everyone was stuck inside, but I really do believe making it a standalone game, with all the original weapons, vehicles, sound fx, mechanics (plus some important QOL changes) would really work wonders to improving the game and bringing the player base back up.

It’s Warzone and MP. I feel the unbalanced gameplay every match I play. For instance, I’ll start out like 1-6 KD and get wrecked for half the match with no bullets hitting or needing a whole clip to kill one person. Then randomly, I get 2-3 shot kills and go on a 12 kill streak as our team all comes back for the win. It doesn’t feel organic at all anymore and to be honest, worse than the last 2 COD’s. I won’t even comment on Warzone since it’s so bad right now.

I’m okay with the meta being the same until the figure out the ranking system for guns on warzone. We don’t have time to keep leveling up guns when some players get bored of the meta. I get weapon balance and having a mix up for metas. Just wish we can have all those guns leveled up for warzone.

i got on yesterday, played 3 games of rebirth, first 2 were insanely sweaty and i died to an actual cheater with the ppsh with dark matter on it, then the third game every single gun i would pick up would take a solid 10 seconds to actually load the model and then when i tried to get my loadout the entire game crashed. they genuinely need to decouple the multiplayer side of cod from warzone and just make warzone its own thing, and then multiplayer games their own thing. every single year they destroy wz for half the year.

Great video. But we all know why they aren't doing so many changes, and getting better servers: Money. Profit. Shareholders. Thats all they care about and their estimation is that they will save more money by leaving the game as it is than they'll gain by fixing it. It's sad, but it's why I don't play or buy their games (until they change that)

The only notable change is the addition of console only crossplay for Ranked. its making the game fun again. The bulk of the player base is console so I'm just hoping they introduce it to regular warzone as well. For the first time in a long time, we're having fun in Warzone again.

Redeploy balloons need to be removed and vehicles need to remove gas meter and be much stronger. Helicopters and vehicles need to be the primary mode of long fast transport.

I think this applies to heaps of game developers. I mainly play tarkov and its similar criticisms I hear consistently from the community there. I just wish I the WCS servers were more polpulated in Australia and i could convince my mates to play Reforger and cure their Warzone addiction 😂
