Was Anis Pretty (NIKKE's first idol) in the past ?

I think what I like about Anis is that in contrast to Rapi, who wants to live up to her hero, Anis wishes she could be a normal girl. Part of being a normal girl is being able to be pretty. Despite her being part of Tetra Line, which promotes such notions, she doesn't actually feel like she can be pretty. So Cinderella's pep talk was what she really needed.

Yeah, I think the moment she became a Nikke, Anis limited herself from becoming pretty herself. She used to saw Nikke as a soldier, a weapon for humanity, incapable of becoming pretty despite the branch she came from advocate for beauty and elegance in Nikkes.

I think Anis might have some troublesome past, She is more realistic view on many thing including politics and life in Ark so I kinda think she see or experience something that drove her to be what she are right now.

Like how Liveryn worked for Six0 to live the life she wanted, and is now trapped in that life. I think Anis had to do something DRASTIC to achieve her goal. But once Anis learned that "all that glitters ain't gold", she became disgusted with the Ark and herself, washed her hands of everything, then left.

Anis is probably the legendary idol of the ARK, perhaps her life was ended and Mustang transformed her into Nikke to save her, perhaps that would explain why Mustang has so much appreciation for Anis.

The moment Anis can be true to herself would be the moment where we might finally see Anis go all out with her feelings Like, she's pretty open showing her interest to commander, but it still feels like she's holding herself back. This almost sounds like Anis was pressured and forced into becoming a Nikke. It wouldn't be the first time, and won't be last either. Wasn't there a female Commander that was nearly forced into it themselves? Perhaps she was pursuing beauty and someone convinced her the logical next step was becoming a NIKKE after, and found out that she was more suited for combat than she was suited for red carpets, realizing she was tricked into it. But idk.

I feel like it was more of a way out. If you remember, Mustang mentioned about Pretty during the summer event with Sakura and Rosanna. Pretty was the first Idol but some controversy happened that caused her to "die"

So she got stabbed but then, turns out she was a human. She couldn't get help in time and she bled out and died.

@@Tetsamaru if that is true, is it possible that Anis is that "human", but she became a NIKKE to save her life and decided to live under a new identity? I don't know. But it sounds like Anis didn't want to be turned into a machine, and that she views herself as a ugly machine instead of just a beautiful girl, which is ultimately what she looks like to the rest of us. Cinderella could sense that self hatred which is why she said what she did, I guess.
