The recoil patterns were different because GO was originally developed exclusively for console, but eventually for PC too and the recoil patterns were changed again because the game was going to be cross platform. They also cancelled that. CSGO was developed on the same version of source that Portal 2 and L4D2 were, which is why their menus are similar and they share models, sounds and textures. Release CSGO still used the AK model and sound from L4D2. Several maps in CSGO's arms race and demolition game modes are straight from L4D games also.

I think the Scar was supposed to be the predecessor of the M4A1-S since it is listed as an "alternative" to the M4A4 which is why when you right click the sound changes because you remove the silencer but like with the reload there has not been an animation for this.

Those playmodels in CT side from train are Georgian riot police but bit shitty though. Originally they were used once on the protest as a heavy riots.
