I had this video bookmarked for when I finished the game. Your presentation style is super entertaining, but I didn't want to get spoiled, worth the wait to watch the whole thing!

Great video man, I also really like FF16 but it definitely has a lot of problems that you did a good job pointing out. Strange how the game feels too long & dragged out but at the same time it has a lot of missed opportunities or characters that could've used more screentime.

Yeah, they spent way too much time on Clive being the best and strongest guy around which lead the rest of the cast feeling under developed

I got fatigued by this game by the end, especially with the lack of levity in the dialogue. It’s all slow plodding doom and gloom.

I personally felt very betrayed by this game being caught in the initial hype. I expected a very political story with DMC gameplay and cool characters but hardly any character does anything and the story is bottom 3 for FF imo. The gameplay started off well but that lack of progression really killed the fun and left me wishing they just used a different system. It really didn't help that I played Tactics before it and loved that game.

i felt the same as you the game was boring after the Bahamut fight and I skipped all the side quests just to get to the end, but the ending scene makes me so confused, how can Joshua write a book of the story if he is dead, and are Clive truly dead ?, and Jill ends up all alone... that was so depressing ending, that made me play the game a second time maybe there is a secret ending i missed... after doing all the sides quests in my my second playthrough, i came to interpret the game ending completely different and more hopeful, Clive and Jill has a son named Joshua and he who wrote the book about his father (Clive)...

Completely agree, the game is quite a shallow experience. Loads of potential, nothing really fleshed out except the combat system, around which the rest has been built. No meaningful exploration, empty dungeons that are just a series of predictable battle arenas, weird time skips and confusing lore that eventually serves no purpose and pretty much the worst crafting system imaginable. Oh and side quests that want you to care about people without building any relationship with them (the blacksmith was super annoying). At the same time the over the top epicness made it enjoyable, at least for a while.
