Good Charlotte was my entire middle school experience. Was totally obsessed with their self-titled and the Young and the Hopeless. I had heard Blink before them, but they were the ones who got me into rock/pop-punk in general. The rest is history haha

Love that someone acknowledged that even for people who like punk, actual punks can be exhausting and dangerous to be around. I felt the exact same way, like "Yeah, fuck the system! Question authority!" but like, I don't wanna do drugs or hurt anyone and I prefer catchy music. Good Charlotte was a perfect fit for me, got me through the hellish days of middle school. The only person I ever did hurt was a kid who relentlessly teased me about liking Good Charlotte. One day I'd had enough, turned around and decked him in the face. Got a day of in-school-suspension for that lol

What a sellout this band is. Record label tells you to cut your hair and you cut your hair? How punk rock of you 🤣.
