I have been scammed more than once. Each time it was my fault. My greed overwhelmed my judgment each time and I did not research the websites etc. It is different for people you consider “friends”. That lowers the barriers because friends trust each other. I am sorry you had this experience.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. You have been more patient and gracious than this person deserves. The fact that they were offering to sell you another doll after giving all kinds of excuses why they couldn't mail the first one makes me believe they are not being honest. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong, but I've seen this happen so many times. It just burns me up to see this happen to good people.

I'm sorry this happened. This person shouldn't be allowed to steal your joy like this. I would warn others because they may have sold this doll more than once. I'm not against Friends and Family payments for those I really know. I don't care if I've known you for years if we have had no personal dealings I'll pay the fee. There are calculators to figure out how much you pay so they get the amount. I accept F&F for a lot of sales. I also have 20+ years of reputation in the doll community. Never be afraid to ask for references for someone. They shouldn't have any issues with you doing that. I hope you can get a refund but it doesn't look good.

Oh, I do know how this can happen, losing interest in something because of a bad experience... I know that situation only too well and I speak from experience! You are very kind and generous and yet, oddly very unkind to yourself. I think you need to write a nice letter to this person and explain how you trusted them and it's been 6 months and then give them an ultimatum! They either refund your money or a doll shows up in x number of weeks or you go public with their name, company whatever to include the better business bureau and any other public review forum or threat you can make. It's not about being mean, it's about being responsible and holding people accountable. It may be uncomfortable for you, but, girl, life is uncomfortable sometimes. You don't deserve this kind of treatment. You don't deserve to live with the anger, frustration and hurt and those feeling don't just go away unless you stand up for yourself. Instead, your feelings get suppressed, and you'll project them on to the dolls -- hence, feeling turned off by integrity dolls. When the dolls are gone, it'll be something else. I get this and I get that you're processing what to do and how to feel. Do what is right by you by standing up for yourself. You're an incredible youtube content provider and I watch you faithfully... I love your sensibilities, your talent and creativity... you may never get the doll or the money back but, you will have appropriately addressed the situation, stood up for yourself and will be able to finally let it go with your dignity and self-respect intact. You got this. Forgive my lecture, I'm old... and it comes from a good place, my wanting to protect you.

1. Yes you were scammed 2. See if you can still file a claim through the credit card that you use through paypal. 3. You should say who the person is so that no one ELSE gets swindled from them while they are going through “family issues”. Remember you said you wouldn’t expose them while they took your money though they said they were selling and preparing a doll for you. 4. You can get integrity dolls cheaper than $250 if you join the integrity club. They are very beautiful dolls to collect but i just didn’t like the lag time of nearly a year. Dress and display the ones you have hun, it’s not the dolls’ fault and maybe that will bring some of the joy back! 💜
