Sand dunes, quarrys, bike trails ect. are a more logical test of durability they're made for off road not skate park ramps and 20ft pavement drops. Anything would break.

True, but how much they break and how easily also tests their durability. On our first run, the shock tower screws broke after a few jumps. If you translate that to a softer surface they're still going to break, just in a longer period, so they're still a weak point compared to other rigs. 👍

Yep. I went to a dirt BMX pump track. The only thing that is bent is the wheely bar wheels. And tell you the truth tensile screws are probably better than screws that break.

I agree I find these kind of bashings just silly. You are going to break stuff if you run huge jumps on cement and pavement when you cant land on your wheels but 5 % of the time lol

I haven't broken any shock bolts, not even bent them. I run the body posts all the way up, this body still doesn't have any holes on the front from the shocktowers/bolts piercing through, and on the back it only happens inbetween the taillights. Meaning it only happens when the body posts flex back to front. Also, my shock caps look pristine, your shock caps bear the witness marks of smashing into the body. That's what i think is the main reason for breaking those bolts; from factory the body is simply too low. Not sure if that was this car, but i've seen the diffcase crack there on one of the FB pages. Seems like that happens more often. Longer bolts might help there, but things will bend either way. Shouldn't crack the diffcase though..

When you make something so durable you will get some crazy breaks like the chassis already breaking but when the energy can be pushed towards a singular screw for the shocks that's a win cuz instead what are you going to break The shock Tower? Or a screw that you can replace??!

Haha , yeah . That will break any car for sure 100% . No RC car is for the skatepark unless the driver can land every air maneuver , even then . I’ve jumped the heck out of mjne full throttle many times and bent a few things , blew a shock , bent a hinge pin , bent the front of the chassis . Nothing ever broke yet . Replaced 4 diff outdrives so far . I think setting it low helps not burn out the cups , maybe , not sure . She stilll lands nice . Glad to see someone do this to show us what it can and cannot take . So did you fix everythjng ? I hope to never get into the center diff again . Oh yeah , and I went through 3 pinions 😂. Bro , try some tires this size , they’re perfect for the grass with a the 27t pinion throttle set to 75% imho . Way smoother than stock which is already really nice . Little more back end whipping around and sliding through the grass instead of rolling . A Realistic RC Durability test should include residential obstacles. Late saves Swiping into parked car tires🛞 rollovers, speed bumps to test shock absorbers Occasional tree stump, half speed jump a couple 📐 tall curbs. Paved transitions into grass ,snow etc.

Actually i think having tensile screws is better. Better they bemd then break. It takes a lot of pressure to brrak a screw, so if you hitnsonhard that it breaks thats means something else took the hit. If it bend it means it took the brunt.

I think if you're going to be using it for hard bashing, you may want to consider fitting some thicker screws, or maybe some kind of armour piece to protect them. 🤷‍♂️

For me personally, my Arrma Outcast 6S. The little FMT24 from FMS also took a load of abuse at the skate park and nothing broke! 👍

Its only way to find out how tuff these bashers are by just literally bashing the living hell out of em lol i stopped bashing a few years ago got tired of replacing parts all the time so now im all about the trail life and scale life nowadays an all i have are crawlers/trail trucks now i kind of want to get on the rally scene there are sooo many awesome realistic looking rally cars nowadays brother and i do like rally cars alot mate might get a rally car or two here soon 👍 and i wouldn't mind a nice scale trophy or desert truck either !!

🤣 You're welcome 😁 Two Reasons... 1. It was fun! 😁 2. It's like the ultimate durability test, if nothing had broken it'd be the best RC ever. As I said in my video, if you bash your rigs you'll break them, but it's still a good test to see how tough they are. For its size I did exactly the same thing to the FMT24, nothing broke. Then I've done worse to my Arrma Outcast and just broken shock lower mounts. Lots of people enjoy bashing their rigs at skate parks, plus not everyone has the ability to do it elsewhere. 👍 Personal preference at the end of the day. 👍

Hi M8 another good video but bashing them will get to a point of throwing money away I have TRX 4 defender 1/10 crawler and I'm doing alot of upgrading I'm looking for a smaller crawler just for fun and cheaper to upgrade as well we like to have fun in the garden and I like to replace my gearbox I'm looking for a video if you can do one will be great help

Yeah, well that's the downside to bashing really isn't it. But lots of people love doing it. Crawling is what I enjoy most, but I can't deny sending things full speed up a skate ramp is actually quite fun! 🤣😬 Do you mean changing your TRX4 gearbox?
