I think Kendrick and Cole could still have a fun back and forth.

I think the reason people say j Cole dodged a bullet is because he was lumped in with drake he since Kendrick was talking about first person shooter and the second worst thing that’s been called a pedo is being called the friend of said pedo

I don’t think Cole dodged a bullet. I think he saw that this beef was going to get personal and dangerous and Cole isn’t on that type of time with Kendrick or Drake. Cole was ready for a friendly bout. But he has no real beef with either. Getting involved would’ve been counterproductive to his career.

But like Kendrick said on “meet the grahams” it only got personal because Drake mentioned Kendrick’s loved ones. Kendrick also said that this was supposed to be a friendly sparring match on wax but because he did mention the personal loved ones. We are most certainly sure Cole wouldn’t have done that. - Chase

I think it would've been a fun showdown if Drake wasnt involved

Imagine this. J Cole never apologized, and Kendrick and Cole going at it and Kendrick never respond to drake

No. Can't be called smart for something that was never really his decision in the first place. People told him to step out and he did. Cole was never ready for the real smoke. Good for him that he found his peace, but that tough guy talk on his songs is over.

Who told him to step out? We’ve heard rumors but haven’t seen anything definitive about someone actually saying it. - Chase

@@BeyondBeatsandCulture Supposedly it was Schoolboy Q. Of course, nobody confirmed it yet to be 100% true, but I doubt that this narrative came up for no reason.

@@BeyondBeatsandCulture Supposedly, it was Schoolboy Q. Wasn't confirmed to be 100% to be true, but it seems legit. I also have to agree with ya'll. I freaking hate that 'Cole dodged a bullet' narrative, that Cole stans try to create to mask his L. These delusional ninjas were working over time, spamming that sh*t under any diss track that came out and some of them will even go as far as claiming that Cole would have still smoked Kendrick lmao

@@prettyboyg1278 we both heard of the Schoolboy Q rumor but I’m waiting to see if it’ll ever be confirmed. And yes, the Cole fans tried to spin that L into a W, which is INSANE! - Chase

Alright listening to the points, the reason he dodged a bullet is because he could've been caught in the middle of and associated with the most nasty and personal battle in years. He didn't want that at all. That's what he dodged.
@BeyondBeatsandCulture28 күн бұрын
You don’t think Kendrick would’ve made a separate battle for Cole? - Chase
@17arando28 күн бұрын
@@BeyondBeatsandCulture Honestly, I don't think so. It was technically Cole's line that set it off in the first place. I think he would have taken them both on together if he hadn't bowed out.

@@BeyondBeatsandCulture Imagine Not Like Us including Cole's name and saying he's defending a pedophile. Yikes. Might not have gone that way, but it could have

Unless someone knows something I don't about Cole I don't think he dodged a bullet (although I find the memes fun). I do think that he had an idea of what was coming when he realized Kenny and Drizzy were really going to get into it and I don't think that's what he wanted to be part of. Pure conjecture of course, who really knows outside of Cole (and maybe Kendrick).

2:05 They both crossed a certain point, Kendrick and Drake, they both mentioned each others loved ones, drake is known for taking shots at celebrities girlfriends/wifes, which is pretty petty J Cole did dodge a bullet, he dodge his career being hurt, people fuck with J cole, but people meat ride kendrick really bad, down to the core of the earth, 4:10 although you do have a point, kendrick is pretty unpredictable.

Why are you so mad though? You want people to still be mad at Cole for falling back? I think they came to the right place (Cole's not a punk), whichever way they got there.

Dear black people of usabeefing with drake is like usa beefing with UK over colonial things. If you really want cultural change lamar should be beefing with diddy . It's all a cheap show
@17arando28 күн бұрын
Your analogy doesn't make any sense whatsoever. If you are making Drake the UK, this would actually be him being the current colonial power in hip hop, currently ruling over it. So why would we fight a civil war when the biggest artist in America is the foreign invader? I actually don't really care that Drake's from Toronto, I'm just saying according to your own analogy it would make MORE sense to fight Drake, not less.
@jothegreek28 күн бұрын
@@17arando my analogy is that is a stupid beef with no risk.
@17arando28 күн бұрын
@@jothegreek There was definitely risk. Kendrick losing that battle would have been a huge reputational blow. Unless you are of the opinion it was not possible for him to lose. Which, fair. But Kendrick's feature most people didn't really expect to respond to in the first place. So really Drake only has himself to blame for not ignoring it.
@jothegreek28 күн бұрын
@@17arando but it's any easy battle he misses guy that is easy to get hit. And what he says is purenonse
@17arando28 күн бұрын
@@jothegreek I don't think he missed. The smoke for the underage girls stuff has been out there for a while now. (And honestly Drake made himself look MORE guilty with Heart Part 6) And most of the rest of the critiques are ones that a lot of people already agreed with and said beforehand. When he said: this is what the culture is feeling, pretty much everyone besides Drake's diehard fans were nodding. He's always come across as fake and weird. That's really why Kendrick hitting that angle was so devastating, because the way people reacted proved he was right. He's just the first one to really go at him about it publicly.
