I am a Christian , and in India in school Buddha's life is taught in history subject . When I grew older I was amazed to find similarities in Buddha's teachings and Christ's teachings . In those times you were not supposed to discuss such things . Now times have changed and people have become more openminded . Now I have come to know a lot more things about both buddhism and christianity . Thank you for talking about the subject , I feel it's high time for people to know the truth and understand .

This proved their Creator claim fake. 2) Jesus similarities with Buddha. Maya to Mary, miracle pregnancy to virgin pregnancy, birth during a journey home to from home, prophesied soon after birth, both had a disciple who betrayed them, walked on water, Gautama left the palace at age 29 and Jesus appeared at 29, Gautama became Buddha at 35 and Jesus died and resurrected at around 35 too, Buddha had a big meal while Jesus had a last supper before they died, after they passed away, 500 arahants witnessed compilation of Buddha's teachings and over 500 witnesses to Jesus's resurrection etc. All coincidental ? Beside Buddha, Jesus also copied found to be copied from other figures. Regardless of which religion copied which, it proved this god is NOT the only true god or all mighty as it doesn't makes sense to create or allow more copies or religions. 4) Why should a true all mighty and all knowing allowed their people to branch off and kill their parent religion Judaism ? "Free will" as an excuse is not acceptable as earlier they claimed their God killed all people with a big flood(without freewill) because they sinned. 5) The way they collect titlings during Sunday mass is so tricky. They know people will be shy not to pay or tend to pay more when others could be watching. This is why they don't just use a stationed money box like Buddhism, Hinduism or Chinese temples where people can donate anytime. Catholics and Islam made it even bigger by suggesting donation of a certain percentage of their income. 6) The Bible condemned non-followers, clearly mentioned in Mark's words. Why should a Creator God's religion condemn non-believers when in the first place, they claimed their God created the world? Isn't this like playing both sides of the same coin, both good and evil ? 7)Not knowing why or how the world exists don't mean that it was created by a god. Now "Creator" idea got stale, they use "Intelligent Design" What is so intelligent in its design? A good religion should be non-sectarian, secular and treat all people equally. 12)Most major festivals and holidays related to Christianity are fake including Christmas(Jesus can't be born in winter), Easter, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, All Souls, Halloween and even New Year are copied from paganism. 13) Using fear like hell or "end of the world" every 2 years but we are still here. 14) The fraud case of Mother Teresa(Google it) and after she died, those money she collected was not returned to India. 15)If their God is all-mighty, why need missionaries to convert others ? 16) The ongoing child sex abuses committed by the pastors/priests that I read so often. 17) The Bible is full of lust(Solomon's part), evil and violence. Their God killed countless people when Satan only killed a few. 18) The Bible condemned dogs because they know dogs are man's best friend. Making men lonely is the best way to keep them dependant on religion. 19) If God created everybody, why then condemn LGBT ? 20) Incidents, eg: (a) U.S., U.K, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico are all high Christianity population countries and more people died from Covid-19, over 200K Americans alone !! (b)The Air Asia plane crash of 2014 killed 41 church members, 2 missionaries and their few month old baby. Only 1 reason can tie up all 20 points above, this God was man-made to con or control people.

I think there have been more people who embodied what is called "Christ/Buddah consciousness" and some that weren't even documented. They were a representation and a symbol of the "christ consciousness" that exists in everyone of us. What you say is really interesting. Also revealed in my own experience bought up as a Christian I was exhorted to love and forgive, not bear malice and so on. However it wasn't until I discovered Buddhism, in particular Vipassana that I learned how to actually manifest these behaviours in my life. So Christianity told me how to behave, but Buddhist influence showed me how to really find these desired behaviours inside myself.

From my own research and shared knowledge from other spiritual mentors, Koi is right. Jesus, at the age of 12 actually went on a journey to learn from other men, traveled to Egypt and India and was initiated in the pyramids. He learned about ancient healing practices and mystery-school initiatic teachings, learned dominion over the body functions from old yogic practices, and secrets of longevity and conscious death. He taught these things as well as learned through communication with God/All That Is/ Source, angels, and Melchizedek. He shared these among his disciples, including other people, who gradually awakened as well. Many avatars and enlightened masters throughout the ages from many different cultures have attained the same level of consciousness as he did. However, in order to genuinely understand the purpose of Christ, we have to also realize that Orthodox religions and the censoring of the Bible, which occurred around 150 years after his death, all but destroyed his true message. But we can still find glimpses of it in the King James version of the Bible such as ,"You shall do even greater things than I have done," which are unmistakeable invitations to choose spiritual evolution, enlightenment/ascension/to let go of limitation on all levels. We have to realize and to let go of the idea of a 'chosen few' and to realize that WE ARE ALL CHOSEN. It is only up to each of us to choose whether our answer is "Yes" or "No." The "authoritive figures" such as the governments and churches at that time were very threatened. When humans open to their full-sensory awareness, they easily perceive illusions, unkindness, and injustice in others. This is why the so-called authorities are intimidated by our true potentials because of their fear of loosing power to hide behind high offices or to loose the ability to claim higher positions (which is also probably why they put fluoride in our water since fluoride calcifies the pineal gland a.k.a third-eye, thus being detrimental to our spiritual growth.) They don't want us to know anything. If you watch Koi's video about the Third-eye or the Pineal Gland, you'll know what I mean too. I also find this relevant to Koi's other video about accessing "Christ-Consciousness." Overall, really good topic and explanation. This video came at the right time as, I believe, I have learned a lot from you too! :)

+Somatta Pokharel You probably didn't see the rest of the text that I've written. I was stating how the government and authoritive figures at that time were threatened about Jesus. That's why they killed him and they still are to this day. It only worsens. Which is why they put fluoride in our waters (without our say in it). Fluoride calcifies the third-eye a.k.a the pineal gland. The third-eye is one of the important factors of spirituality as it helps us reach higher awareness. When we reach higher awareness, we can see through all the delusions and bs given to us and we won't have any need for any authority. (Jesus and the Buddha also encouraged people to question authority to find the truth). That's why the government puts fluoride in our water. My take on it is that they're scared of us gaining awareness and they're scared to lose power.

Michelle Rodríguez I don’t think this guy is lying to you but he is very ill informed. The reason nothing is recorded about Christ’s childhood is because he didn’t perform many miracles and that’s because the historical record of people following a child as the messiah would be downright unbelievable! Aside from that Christ’s teachings are extremely different for just one example Christ condemns mantras as prayer in Matthew 6:7-13. I have a Buddhist friend and our religions couldn’t be more different.

I think it also had to do with how Persian Zoroastrians worship Ahura Mazda under the Persian empire as another example.

In Aganna Sutra, Buddha told us how the universe comes into birth (and death in never ending cycle) and how a god who claimed to be the creator came about (this explained why there is a God who think he is the creator, corresponded with Bibles). In Baka Brahman Sutra, this god named Maha Brahman (means the supreme god) who claimed to be the Creator, Father of All, The Unsurpassed, the Most High, the Most Supreme etc. was taught by Buddha and corrected his misconception. Buddha is known as teacher of men and gods. Buddha told us even the highest god in the highest formless heaven is not a fully enlightened being (therefore, not an arhat nor buddha yet). I am sharing this not to imply Albrahamic religions are lesser. I am sharing this to let you know each religion has its own version and we believe based on faith, NOT DIRECT KNOWLEDGE. Therefore, most honest way is to practice our own religent diligently and not imposing our belief on others.

Oh yeah Jesus was a Buddhist I had an experience here last May it's too many words to put in a comment but Jesus is a/ was a Buddhist. I've been practicing Buddhism since 2015. They're one in the same. I wasn't feeling good enough it wasn't getting happy enough so I started praying to Jesus in May 2019 and he guided me to one of my Buddhist meetings where I met up with a long-lost daughter of mine. I had not seen her for 15 years 2 years after my son had died. I'm convinced Jesus was a Buddhist it's the same vibration to me

I totally agree with this!! I have always noticed these major similarities between the religions and think it's really fascinating. I was raised christian and I still consider myself one, but honestly I would consider myself buddhist as well. Some people may not understand that or agree with that; however, the main point is teaching and spreading love, finding inner peace, and so on. All you listen. Christianity is about two beings. The weak and sinful one man and the all powerful one God. By the grace of the God man is pulled out of sin. He does not become God. I think Jesus followed the teachings of the Buddha but wasn't an actual Buddhist. For example I meditate, astral project, lucid dream, operate on higher frequencies and have achieved a higher state of consciousness while staying a Christian because most of the religions aren't different when it comes to spirituality. Spirituality is the same through out but each religion has a different way of explaining it. That's why religion is such an important part of spirituality and vice versa because they both show more of an understanding on how spirituality works and why. If you catch my drift. Great video man also I would just like to add (because you have a very sceptical view of religion) that religion was not made to control people and if you look through history the religious were persecuted by other groups of people but religion has been used to control as of recently (within a few hundred years). Just COZ religion has been used to control doesn't mean that's it's purpose.

There is no evidence of anyone named Jesus apart from what is written in the Christian Bible. The evidence for the Buddha is slightly more but there is nothing written from his time about him. That is why we do not care whether the Buddha existed or did not exist. It is whether the Dharma is true or not true. Christians do not have that option. Jesus must have existed or there can be no Christianity.

Buddhas are like grains of sand there are buddha's before and after prince siddhartha gautama.....in thailand there is a buddhist museum they have tons of buddha's monk which are buddha's amulets on walls ......just because the west doesn't promote buddhism doesn't mean that there aren't proven fact that you can become enlightened...

Just my 2 cents: Although I haven't read the paul brunton book but the fact that he visited india in 20th century, saw an Indian yogi completely stopping the breath and could not have believed in the same if he hadn't seen it himself ,not to forget paul was an atheist too. Also it is believed that the jesus visited Tibet between 14 to 20 years of his age and so he knew how to control these bodily functions and resurrect himself after he was hung(goggle if you want more information)

Paul is not a magician. This is done by professional magicians along with stopping the blood from - no pulse. Huh not possible. Magicians know the trick of putting a rubber ball in your armpit which shuts off the flow of blood to your wrist. No people cannot walk on water unless they have water wings. Virgins cannot have babies unless they receive artificial insemination and have an operation on the hymen. Well you might turn water into wine since wine is 85% water but that would mean a 15% miracle. The lame are only going to walk if their broken bone is set with a splint. Touching someone is not going to cure them of Hanson's disease. If you are crucified, your lungs collapse and you suffocate to death. Sorry you are not getting up and walking away. There were magic tricks in the Sutras also but they are to be viewed either as being allegorical or myths. Life is very serious business so do not screw it up with silly nonsense.

Some other details that are fascinating is that the three wise men from the east may have been monks looking for the reincarnation of a dead master and believing Jesus to be him. That could explain why he went east to learn in the first place. But The really interesting part is the idea the Jesus may not have died on the cross. And he was saved and went back to the east to continue his ministry until dying naturally. There’s a lot of interesting details surrounding the crucifixion that suggest there was a conspiracy to save Jesus and get him out of the Roman empire. The fact that he was only on the cross for a few hours because it just so happened to take place near a holy holiday. The emperors wife warning him not to have Jesus’s blood on his hands. Joseph of aramathea and mary Magdalene being rich powerful people close to Jesus. Bringing healing herbs into the tomb. Jesus being given something to drink on the cross which may have made him appear dead. Etc. super interesting.

But from what I understand there are some differences between the two religions for example I heard Buddhist don't believe in an after life where as Christians do and also believe in the Resurrection which is a pretty huge difference. I Have actually felt the presence of God at the Catholic church many times and I hope this excites you so you can have comfort from the Lord your self, maybe say an Our father pray and see what happens but trust me much more happens at the Church especially after confession and sometimes Mass, and best of all you don't need hallucinagens to get in touch with your heavenly Father, he is gentle and very holy, God bless.

Corn I reckon there definitely is snippets of truth in all religions but I don't know what is about the Lord that gets my faith the most, maybe it's my conscience of having been and felt like a bad person I was looking for forgiveness and none of the other religions can cleans me of the stain of sin because it's rarely mentioned and I do beleive there is consequences for sin because I have carried guilt around before and still can't help get the feeling there is some punishment for grave sins whether it be murder or fibbing. Then there is the charity side of things that get my attention that I do love. Then I don't know if it was the Catholics that first noticed the 7 deadly sins but when I come to understand those things I recognized them in myself and noticed they are a real thing and I have also noticed in life there is most definitely a contrast of the light and the dark, for instance violent or gentle, in my experience I found there is what the bible calls good fruit and bad fruit. But each to there own from what my priest told me were all made in the image and likeness of God and every religion is equal and it's best to respect peoples boundaries but I do think I have to evangelize and share my testimony in the experience's I have been having because I do believe I have good news, especially for people burdened with sin.

Then you do not know either of them. I studied Christianity as a young man and have been studying Buddhism for 50 plus years. They are nothing alike. Christianity is theist and Buddhism is non theist. God and God's grace is paramount in Christianity. There is no such thing in Buddhism since there is no God. Christianity God saves you through his grave. Buddhism you must save yourself. You then have a choice to follow Jesus and hoped to be saved by a God or follow the Buddha and save yourself.

Reading more about Jesus I would say he was a Monotheist Buddhist mixed with Christian and Muslim. (Buddhist for his spirit ways and Christian for believing God is a father and Muslim for submitting his will to God)

Miranda. All religions teach love, kindness, forgiveness etc. Only Buddhism teaches us the causes of suffering and how to end it. Jesus never taught that. He taught the wages of sin are death. It is through God's grace that you will be saved. The Buddha taught us that we must save ourselves. Root hog or die. Nothing is in control. If you come from a Christian background as most Americans do, those things are very hard to accept. No magic tricks, no supernatural being in the sky is going to save me. I am going to have to pull my boots up by my own boot straps. That is tough, very tough.
