Thanks for addressing the women’s point of view. I am from polygamous Mormon ancestors and dreaded someday having to share my dear husband all my life. Now the church says it was no big deal!?!?!? That is so cruel. Plus I was never taught he had all those wives. They lied.

He called them wives. It was adultery by another name. There has to a special place for people who lure people into such a thing in the name of God.

Wow! I cannot get my Mormon friends to understand this. I have one friend who knows the entire Mormon Bible... But barely knows anything from the original Bible. It's crazy. Thanks for calling this out.

Polygamy was a protection of women as well. Women could not have jobs like men. They could not own property. My great aunt at 18 Emma Price died in Nauvoo because she could not take care of herself. My great aunt Mary Ann Price Hyde was married to Elder Hyde. Many more women were coming into the Church. They had to be brought into families.

I have been a Born Again believer in Jesus Christ for 42 years, and I recently had a Mormon friend who I was attracted to. I had no idea about Mormonism, mind you, until I started to research it. Ohhh myyy word!!! He's an 'alleged' elder of the church, and yet, he was so incredibly dishonest with me that it was sickening. Sadly, he works as the Resident Manager of the building I live in, and now that I have called him out on his dishonest behavior, he is so unbelievably hurtful to me. I have had to separate myself from him as much as possible, but he stands strong in his beliefs, and is quite convinced that his narcissistic behavior towards women is completely acceptable. I just came across this video, and I'm just like, wowww!!! Thank you sooo much for showing me that I am not as crazy as he tried to convince me I was. God bless you! Please keep doing what you're doing. My heart simply aches 💔 for these poor lost souls. I will continue to pray for them.

Beyond sad. May Mormons find their way back to Christs true church. Anathema on the blasphemers of our Lord, especially those who lead the members of LDS astray into damnation.

Yes, yes Joseph Smith was different than Warren Jeffs. First of all Warren Jeffs actions with underage girls was illegal. Second Warren Jeffs actions were with minors Joseph Smith's were not. There were NO minors involved in polygamy. Yes there were young women that were younger than the age of 18, but they were not minors they were adults. you need to stop being lazy and your learning and make sure you understand the historical, sociological, economical, etc content of an issue.

Fact. Caucasian girls in that time period, as well as today do NOT and did NOT reach womanhood capacity or function as woman biologically. He was a straight up child predator. Having sex with a 14 year old child was, and is demented. The one reason he was tarred and feathered. Having sex with a child means there is something wrong with him. It's called evil according to God's word. He was a sick child rapist just like Warren Jeffs.

Yes they were underage for the social norms of the Victorian Era. It wasn't considered proper or intelligent to marry until the age of 21 in the 19th century. Girls 14 years old were still playing with dolls. It wasn't until 17 or 18 that there would have been a "coming out party" to be accepted into society. Only uncle Jeb his son Darryl and his other brother Darryl of the outcast inbred variety were molesting children, mostly their sisters back then.
