I can never find any real mistletoe to decorate with here. There is always some plastic version available, but I prefer to use live so no mistletoe for me.

Poor Mr. Graves. I adore him. But he will be very English. You can say goodbye to a lot of things…but there’s no Goodbye to All That.

Graves will forever be a thorn in my side for having to listen to people try to quote him / assert his ideas of 'Celtic tree calender' (which someone else took and ran with) and the mother maiden crone stuff... It's only about being English insofar as the biases and engagement with the source material (or lackthereof) and misinterpretation and conflation with other cultures and traditions.

@@TheCraftyCailleach I wasn’t thinking of bias exactly but the general artistic liberty of any History the English are known to offer the world since, well Shakespeare. Everything is an historical drama. Graves war poetry is very fine work, tho. Just my outsiders opinion!
