and this is exactly why I dub 2016 to be the best year of Roblox. You took pretty much all of the words from my mouth. Except, there's one thing I'd like to add on; Roblox now adds items which you're required to buy gift cards for in order to receive, essentially making them P2W accessories. This isn't fair for those who want to get the accessories without having to spend money on robux or the gift cards.

@@Pixel8bit14 Exactly bro, so this guy saying 2024 is better is such a joke it makes me laugh even when it isn't funny. It feels so satirical that I can't even take the guy seriously lmao. To be honest with you, I didn't even really like 2018 / 2019 that much either, bc that was when they started this rthro bs and later decided to let UGC creators make these horrible, realistic bundles which nobody wants to wear. Not to mention the fact that the catalog requires more moderation than normal because of this, now they gotta spend more time out of their day deleting these inappropriate / copyrighted packages. I miss when Roblox didn't add extra problems to their to-do list and just decided to leave old (and possibly useful) updates alone instead of replacing every feature with more and more shit nobody cares about that could quite literally ruin the game.

Old roblox = Filled with exploiters destroying every game, Very bad and unoptimized engine Late-Old/2017 roblox = The same thing but exploiters cant do much since forced FE, Slightly better engine with better graphics. Todays roblox = Way better than the rest, Best engine, less exploiters, less powerful exploits, byfron/hyperion, Community isnt the best but there are alot of good games with awesome communities.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there bro, the amount of exploiters remains the same, even in 2017 where the amount of hackers began to die down. People to this day still hack and can easily get away with it if they wanted to, I especially see this kind of shit in games like Arsenal and Lumber Tycoon 2 where people are duplicating stuff, flying around the map, etc.

@@Thund_rStruck Yeah but its not that bad anymore. As a exploiter myself, I used to do some devious stuff to games back when fe didnt exist, Destroying maps banning people without having to go thru 50 games and finding one that had a backdoor

@@uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwastaken Honestly dude, I've seen more hackers in 2024 than in 2016. I was either incredibly lucky, or the amount of cheaters has increased due to the advanced technology of certain cheat engines. Plus, with AI running moderation now, it's a lot less likely they'll ever get banned for something that makes sense. I can imagine them getting away with exploiting, but then getting banned later on just for saying something harmless in VC or regular chat such as "hi" or "great job." This shouldn't be able to happen at all, considering the fact that even innocent people are getting banned just for saying "how are you." I seriously think the moderation system has downgraded over the years, while the amount of exploiters has upgraded. At least back then, admins were actually in charge of banning people for rules which apply to their guidelines; today people are either getting away with the terrible actions of theirs, or they're getting banned for doing literally nothing at all.

@@Thund_rStruck Im saying how terrible roblox's security was back then basically not existing other than detectors that found the name of the cheat and killing it. In 2016(pre-fe) and before 2017(forced fe) exploiters could basically delete maps, give themselves guns that didnt exist in games, use stuff like glitchers(which i honestly support those stuff were so cool with the visual effects and sound effects) and how you could basically join like 1 discord server or join a teamspeak call and then get the link to the op executors while nowadays you need to go thru like 50 linkvertises and possibly get 3 rats. And those days moderation didnt exist. Now its just dumb AI but still, No moderation is kinda better.

@@uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwastaken Coming from a former exploiter, I get what you mean, but as a standard player myself, I'd have to say that not having (proper) moderation is literal chaos. People who don't cheat are getting banned for nothing (even if they are getting banned for something, it's not anything that bad), and even the people who do hack still don't get banned for the correct rule. Yeah, their exploits may not be game-breaking like they used to be, but still, plenty of OG / classic games have backdoors for cheaters even if what they're doing in the game is minor compared to what they could've done back then. Most games obviously (especially newer ones) will try to prevent hacking altogether, or block most cheat engines.
