The 4 Constellations are based on the Chinese 4 Symbols (also called the 4 Gods, 4 Guardians, or 4 Great Beasts) which are the Azure Dragon of the East, the Vermilion Bird of the South, the White Tiger of the West, & the Black Tortoise (which is depicted with a serpent or snake) of the North which as for the connection to constellations each has 7 of the Chinese equivalent of the zodiac called the 28 Mansions. While Jindiao also is the reference to the 5th of the symbols that is located in the center of the 4 which is either a Yellow Dragon or the Qilin.

Ahhh so that’s why Jin Diao’s chi is gold because it’s pretty much a yellow color… clever! Also the Qilin appears in Kung fu panda however he has two versions and they’re different characters and they don’t have powers like Jin Diao so he really wouldn’t be special I don’t think

When we finally get a chance to look inside the dragon scroll we learn that the only special ingredient is the person as they are. For that logic every Kung Fu master is actually their own Dragon Warrior. Considering that Oogway came up with it, I would say yes he is, but so are the 5, as well as Shifu.

I disagree slightly, as we saw that Tai Lung had nothing to be gleaned from the scroll- I think what divides a dragon warrior from the rest is the ability to be self aware that they are the secret ingredient, and let that awareness guide them to mastery fully. Tai Lung was unable to accept this reality and shifu and Furious 5 may have also been too rooted in the idea that there is a better technique, better style to be had, etc. Which strays them from this path of thinking.

Isaac, I'm surprised you didn't connect the 4 constellations to Chinese Mythology. The 5 characters you mentioned are also Digimon, protectors of the Digital World. That's how I learned about them. Also, a Panda makes sense after the Super Zords used in Power Rangers Ninja Super Steel.

I really dislike the way these new additions to the lore change the message of the core movies... The core message of the first one was "there is no secret ingredient". It's who Po was as a person (or panda I guess) that made him the strong warrior he is. It wasn't some magical special chi passed down through the generations to him. I also don't believe Oogway chose him to be the Dragon Warrior. As Oogway said himself, it was the universe that sent him. A warrior with the soul of a dragon that is the strongest there is. But not because he was chosen by Oogway, not because he inherited some ancient special chi. It's because he is himself. It's one of the most uplifting messages a movie can have and to help people with low self asteem (like Po was in the beginning) and its absolutely destroyed by it being turned into this kind of story.

The most important in this theory was still who he was, because even those deemed gifted and it boys (like Jin Dao)-failed to be what he is, because his personality and friends who he acquired are more important than tallent. It's still uplifting, and I hope I made it great for you again, because it didn't destroy anything.

I think that Jindao was the Yin part of the dragon warrior and Oogway was the second being Yang, but to be the dragon warrior and get to His/Her’s full potential the host of the power need both of them that’s why Oogway pointed out that fact to po, and since Po had a spirit of a dragon it help increase the Hero’s chi.

Correct me If I am Wrong, pandas are not only connected to the universe, naturally gifted in the control of Chi and martial arts, they are also, pure of heart, this would explains Why a Po, is the dragon warrior, his kindness and purity of heart, makes him immune to corruption, therefore it is imposible for him to become evil, like Jin Dao.

please talk about mysterious characters who get very little screen time or never explain what the story is like in kung fu panda, like the dolphin master who is only mentioned by po and with his armor, but no history or original story actually or what kind of figure he is, but with the appearance of this character, I thought that all kinds of animals are very broad in kung fu panda, I even thought there might be such a thing as a master narwhal, master shark, master octopus, master whale, master walrus, master salamander, master moose, master platypus, and master pelican.

Oogway taught himself Kung Fu he created it in the Kung Fu Panda verse while Kai was a warrior so he knew how to fight on his own and Kung Fu that he knows he most likely trained with Oogway.

Whatever happens in KFP4, Tail Lung MUST be redeemed. Dreamworks owes the fans that much. How this can happen. The Chameleon and his minions from the spirit realm to fight Po, and when they are about to deliver the killing blow, Shifu steps in and takes the hit for Po going to the spirit realm. Tai Lung seeing his father fall, snaps out of his rage and turns against the darkness in his heart and helps Po and the new dragon warrior (a kid) fight off the other villains and defeat the Chameleon. At the end, Po takes Tai Lung to the spirit realm to seek inner peace with his father Shifu.

What excuse me hell no sorry but no Tai Lung redemption will not happen Jack Black already confirmed that Tai Lung is coming back as a villain and that is it he is going to team up with Lord Shen and General Kai and the chameleon and that is it or the chameleon is going to shapeshift into the villains and not bring them back and no one helped Tai Lung in the spirit realm because the spirit realm is a really big place and alternate endless place and Tai Lung got broken after he died in the first movie by Po and he will not forgive Master Shiftu at all he will hate Master Shiftu because he felt betrayed by him so sorry dude but Tai Lung redemption arc will not happen
