After 1400 years Iranians still have great difficulties accepting most of Islamic sharia and on verge of a major anti-islam revolution. A simple look at the current situation will tell you that

@yj2111 NO, persian is more than 60% of iran so Persia means land of persians. Iran is a racist name taken from nazi ideology in 1935 when Germany was in power. There is no historical bases for name iran. Aryana was a province of persia, which is located in modern day Afghanistan and not IRAN.

I think Dr. Zakir Naik should have given a direct answer to this young man's question. Khosru was invited to Islam and he had been given choice either to accept Islam or give jijiya. Khosru did a hineous act killed the messengers sent by Prophet Muhammad (saws) and tore apart prophet's letter. Khosru earned wrath of Allah and hence the destruction of his empire by Muslims. When Muslim conquered Persia Salman Farsi(ra) was in charge of Persia. People were given choice to accept Islam or to pay jijiya. Khosru was very arrogant under estimated Arab Muslim soldiers. Khosru had the best army and weapons but that didn't deter Arab Muslims. All those kings who dishonoured Prophet's (saws) invitation letter Allah inflicted them with severe punishment. Byzantine and Ethiopian kings are examples.

The Persian fellow is quite correct about political Islam (ISIS of 1400 years ago) invasion to Iran and all Middle East based on historical references. Omar who was not supposed to be the khalifah (but forced himself to Ali as per Islamic Republic of Mullahs in Iran) attacked Iran because he wanted to expand his brand of islam exactly like what Daesh did few years ago. Naik forgets to mentioned the tax Christian’s had to pay for not converting or else they would die. Islam spread by the sword, not its message. He tried to say it was a few but ottoman history survived due to the tax paid and those who converted to not pay taxes who were of higher nobility.
