There are many things that I hope Rita takes away from this to improve this and future ARGs (the reliance on having to use a specific website to decrypt, however the hell someone was supposed to connect the dream from carbon steel to a specific verse in a specific translation of Dante’s Inferno, and the leak caused by live editing stick out to me as weak points). Still really cool though!

before reading please note i'm not part of the effort to solve it, i'm an observer giving their observation, but, I do think for a first ARG it's pretty good, the obvious issues are that it came out a bit scuffed and it expect's a few leap's to be made that are a bit ridiculous, going over the original puzzle, we see the second issue clearly, it seem's we were meant to go from the specific version of "Dante's Inferno", a version directly hinted at in the ARG, and tie that to the scene in "Carbon Steel", hinted at in the high-roller's trailer, then take the number of the quote and put it through the phone, when said like that i hope most will agree that the progression seem's mostly reasonable, as in it's not like we had to go on a wild goose-chase for the specific translation, the issue here is that you have to link the scene in "Carbon Steel" to the quote in "Inferno", that isn't great puzzle design because there is little reason to think that is what you need to do, or a direct reference to the quote, but the actual process of the puzzle out-side of that is pretty reasonable, so the real issue comes from the leap's we're expected to take rather than the puzzle being absurdly cryptic in what we're meant to even do, other than that i think it honestly deserves praise for 2 other part's, first of the leak was handled well, i'm assuming that was what was behind the first password and would then lead to more password being needed to be gotten, but giving us the ARCHIVE while keeping some behind the password we already needed maintained interest by giving at least some answer's while also not just straight up giving us the answer, and maybe also helping people find the password we already needed. also so far we have seen NO spectrographs, metadata or dark-image brightening puzzle's, there is nothing wrong with them but they are a bit unoriginal, and kinda boring, there lack at least make's this ARG display some originality which for a first is pretty cool, and i think that deserves at least a bit of respect. in the end the problem's with the ARG that should be learned from are when a leap it too big to expect people to reasonably make & to make sure cypher's can be put through all, or at least most, decrypter's can give a legible answer, unless needing a specific decrypter is the point, and if we're being honest the difficulty and actually production of an ARG are the thing's we should expect to be imperfect when making a first or even 2nd and 3rd.

Meh it all comes off as timing and failings. Less of an arg that was preplanned and complete vs one being made for luls ongoing. The leak comes off as planned for when the creators wanted it to be leaked. The clue in the trailers comes off as a push for the fans to enter the password when they were ready to release the content. Color me surprised when they continue to drip feed content that all leads to another game by the developer. Least in my opinion that would be the cool thing to do... anyway I love hearing about things like this and can't wait for the next installment.

I'm surprised they outright confirmed that the shotgun being used is a custom Remington 870. I was expecting it to just be listed as a generic pump-action shotgun, but I guess Mike did his homework. I'm guessing the "custom" modification is some kind of magic spell that lets the gun regrow its barrel and magazine after being sawed off.

So an idea I have is the buckshot roulette that Volta created is not the story mode but the multiplayer, considering the aesthetics of loading into a lobby and the computer in the bathroom. Also just another thought, perhaps the Tartarus Engine was a product of the Volta and Pentacle partnership, and heck, maybe the companies merged at some point to create E.K.R.E. Also I really hope The Other Side is canon in this as well, I adore that game for some reason.

Volta's coffee invoices seem important in some way, considering they're password protected, and coffee is also an important part of Infineural's story. Has anyone tried taking the text on the paper that's inside the shape of the coffee stain and translating it to see if it says anything?

If hat is true... While it is kinda cool, i won't really like it. I prefered the idea of people looking like the dealer was a stand-in for people suffering from deathly addiction. It fits the dealer, the other players in multiplyer, the protagonist in singleplayer being afraid as an outsider, while the one in MP is used to it. However i am fine with the idea that the dealer is not a normal person, but plays fair anyway.

I've seen really creepy, gorey and horrible horror games, but when I first saw Buckshot Roulette I thought it was the most morbid one. The concept of playing (a sort of) russian roulette in tandem with the fact that this is a somewhat legal activity and not restricted to a few underground classes in society makes this game incredibly uncanny.

After watching this and the Klubnika Timeline video, I've come up with a little theory. PT. 1 (OUTDATED): Knowing that the death of god at the hands of the dealer literally caused "all hell to break loose", I'm thinking that maybe the sentinels came from hell after god's death, along with all the other anomalies present within the games, excluding Unsorted VHS. PT. 2: Having now watched the newest video on the ARG, I believe I may be right, given the many references to Dante's Inferno, the fact that the word god is redacted in the CEO file, the whole world being at stake because of Volta's shady business practices, and so much more. Knowing all of this, I've put together a rough, although very short, timeline. > ????: Pentacle begins research on "The Pit" (which I believe to be a literal representation of hell itself), where they over time discover subjects such as The Creature mentioned in the archive. > 1998: Volta's "Buckshot Roulette" game is created, and one of the first people to try it is god himself, where he loses to the dealer. With the death of god, "all hell breaks loose", meaning, the creatures within the pit are set loose, leading to Pentacle's research to drastically ramp up. All of this leads to Pentacle and Volta's partnership in the biotechnology market, utilizing the subjects from The Pit. > The Future: Somehow, all of this led to the anomalies present within future games.

I might be a bit late to all this, but I feel like the big twist to everything is the fact that the "Dealer" or whatever the "Floating Hand People" are, are just Bio-Mechanical creations of Volta Electronics. I think it's safe to say that from the poem, the machine that hungers IS the Dealer. I had always thought the Dealer wasn't entirely biological considering at the end of the game, there's that electronical sound and where he was, there is two glooming red eyes.

The ARG is linked to community progress most likely. The August fifth password was a dud that slowed down progress so they changed the order of the ARG. The players would have received the leaker's message before accessing the archives.

I do think its odd that Volta chose their name of, well, Volta. Volta's appear in many times in literature (and I think my copy of the Divine Comedy's translation has some, unsure about the specific translation for the ARG) as it is a technique that represents a shift in tone. This lore dump is interesting, but surprisingly unsurprising. Klubnika has a VERY specific aesthetic that he clings to in his work. Industrial biopunk. And the story of VOLTA so far is following it to a T. We got the brutalist industrial aesthetic, the corporate dystopia, and body horror. Something about the message from the leaker that stands out to me is when they mention our personal life being at stake. Saying that such a concept might not exist soon. I get this idea that VOLTA is doing something with neural science to create a hivemind. I have to wonder if Infineural and the Tartarus Engine have something to do with this as well since both games center around neural science. One other thing that stands out to me, and that the ARG hunters have no doubt already taken into account is the way 'ThE w0rLd' is spelled in that message. I probably missed some other spellings errors, but that is unquestionably part of the ARG.

I wonder what happens if you sign the buckshot roulette waiver with a special name aside from DEALER and GOD, like maybe EKRE, the name of that company with the five-pointed symbol. It is also possible that this five-pointed symbol is a reference to the five cabins that were present in one of the games.
