In a meeting held at the Hawaii state capital, the people of Hawaii voiced their concerns about the developments planned for maui, more specifically lahaina town that recently burned down in a deadly wildfire. This video is opinioned based and shared for the purpose of giving a voice for the people of hawaii. This video is not intended to discredit hawaii officials or defame any specific person. So the other 1,615 kids are either unalive, with their families among the 6,000 survivors staying in temporary housing around the island, or among the tens of thousands of people who left Maui immediately after the fire to stay with friends and family. I've heard locals say there are 1,000 to 1,500 bodies at the morgues. But we'll have to wait for the final count. The Lahaina schools only know how many kids are absent, they have no idea if they're alive or not.

Back in the early 90s, late 80s - my great-grandparents house had been declared a historical site. It was also right in the way of the new freeway plans, and one night it just went "poof" in a blaze of glory. Arson, and no one gave a snot and they built their freeway. Same thing is happening here, but on such a bigger scale that it gives me chills for these people to be fighting for their land, and not have the fighting chance against the big people. Much loves to all the Hawaiian's affected by this. This is a terrible thing.

We went through something similar in 2011. A very suspicious fire, where the firemen did nothing but follow behind it. A fire inspector and a fire chief from outside agencies who assisted were both murdered less than 12 months later. Some of the firemen were later convicted of looting and vandalism in unrelated events, yet were still in the department after their conviction. I recommend you document everything going on there in real time; as it happens, and consider un-incorporating your neighborhoods from the municipality.

FACTS THAT WE DO KNOW (these come straight from the local survivors): 1. The police barricaded every exit from the city. 2. No sirens went off. 3. The water was cut off by the city water manager to the fire fighters. 4. The body count was froze at 115. 5. The morgue is 100% full. 6. Local morticians ran out of body bags during the first week. 7. The city REFUSES to give even an estimate on how many children may be missing or killed; same with adults and families. 8. The locals estimate that the schools have 3000 kids registered, but only 3 or 400 showed up. Which leaves 2600 children unaccounted for. 9. There are 15 school buses missing and unaccounted for. There's no debris or burnt out wrecks. They're just magically GONE. Like the children the city seems so unconcerned about. 10. It took 6 days for FEMA to show up, and when they did the first thing they did was confiscate food and water that was being given out to survivors because "it was not FEMA approved." Since then, locals report getting sick from drinking the water FEMA is giving them. You can't make this stuff up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11. There are some video testimony of locals (they appear to be medical personnel) who helped in searching for survivors. They say they're finding entire families burnt alive in cars trapped trying to escape. They also say they're finding bodies of children alone in homes. YET ... we hear NONE of this from the city officials. 12. The police chief is ALSO the medical examiner. Conflict of interest? You bet it is. The million dollar question the media has NOT asked the mayor or police chief is this: HOW many peopled DIED as a direct result of all the city exit streets being blocked? At this point, the ONLY WAY people are going to get justice is to SUE the city and the city officials. SUE BIG and use the money to help the locals rebuild what has been lost.

I know, it happened here in the coastal areas of Florida. We are experiencing this now again too, here in Florida, they keep building and building because everyone wants to come here, but the cities don’t think of the roads and small bridges that connect the barrier islands on the beachside to the mainland. If we had emergency evacuations, our roads couldn’t handle it right now the way it is. The cities are not keeping up with expansion with building and increased population. Traffic has already increased and they have only STARTED with already having built thousands of apartments in this small area. Their are many more plans to come. The towns are fighting back and they win some , but they lose some. And what about utilities, enough water and electric , and more bridges to handle the population. It is just the beginning. Also you find shortages or longer wait times for things. When I first moved here in the 90’s it was a quiet small town, very friendly, no traffic. Now they are bulldozing down the old Florida houses to build mansion estates and two story houses, which were against building codes before. Costs for housing have doubled to tripled in some places. People can’t afford the rents. Multiple families are living in one house. Young people cannot afford to buy a house. It is still a nice place to live but I am worried about what it will be like in a few years. I know it is nothing compared to what you have gone through, but just trying to give you insight as to what can happen when governing people take over. I pray for the best for all of you , especially for those that have lost their family members, homes and jobs. I hope that you will find peace in your homeland again, the way it is supposed to be. This is being done here on the mainland in Scottsdale Az. Every available lot of land is taken up to build high rise, new apartment buildings....WHY? I looked at these new apartments and have found them to be unaffordable the rents are so high. Who can afford them in todays economy? We are becoming New York in that people will have to have several roommates paying over a thousand dollars each for one bedroom and common areas in just one apartment. Plus they have "smart technology" to spy on you in these new buildings. Check it out for yourself because the Citizens of Scottsdale were in an uproar from all the new construction of apartment buildings. They even say that one doesn't have to leave their area because they are building stores and shops within walking distance. In our neighboring city of Tempe, they have built a complex that doesn't allow cars!!!! Tell me how do they expect people to walk to shop, etc when its 115 degrees in the summer???? This is planned...we know it and THEY KNOW IT.

My daughter was born in lahaina my family is buried in waiola church in Lahaina my family home which was over a hundred years old in the center of lahaina is burnt to the ground luckily my ohana got out safely and my heart is sore from seeing people I know personally who lost love ones!
