I actually thought about this a while ago, The image I had was a godly earth bender raising their arms and the redline starts to lift out from the sea floor, into the sky. I assumed it was someone from one of the moons, and how maybe some of the races and The D clan may be be descendants from different moon people. I also think that Uranus may be a person just like Poseidon, and with her help and the giants they will destroy portions of the red line. Also devil fruits are either from a tree in Mariejois, or a product of ancient technology.

They were basically at the heart of the known world at the time. Every direction they looked, there was an empire be it the Persian, the Byzantines or those little super powers. They essentially conquered all of them within a hundreds after the prophet’s death. The Islamic empire reigned from western China to southern France. However, the interesting thing is they were almost always outnumbered 3:1 or 4:1. Geography is very important. Give yourself the best odds of winning and act on the best strategy possible without compromising your values. That being said, if Luffy does conquer the WG, what’s he going to do with them? Kill them? Nah, I doubt he would. And he’s just some kid with big ambitions, he can’t serve as the next leader.

There was a Clay Clay fruit guy who was with the WG and spent his whole life making the redline. Thats why its holds up really strong (big whale hits abunch and it doesnt get damaged). Poseidon can be used to explain the calm belt. Pluton could be used to either explain the set up of the islands and possibly reverse mountain, as it's a HUGE battleship that could probably move islands but also destroy them. Uranus we don't know much about but if the other 2 can explain the grandline. perhaps uranus was used to somehow create the redline. In a world full of water, the ability to create/manipulate Land would be a very helpful tool or a very powerful weapon.

YES! This became a solid theory in 2002-03. Everyone was talking about it back when something called the 3 Ancient weapons were revealed. Fans also believed that the Red Line IS the Ancient Weapon Uranus, reason being it's a ring. Seeing Laboon's family confirmed it to me ...Damn I've been reading One Piece every week for 19 years...

Maybe it's called Paradise not because by comparison to the new world it's easy sailing, but because the WG created the redline to contain their own personal Paradise. The D clan was a noble family that cracked the red line open from the inside, and allowed others into "Paradise". That would explain why they call them devil's... The devil was Gods prettiest angle who betrayed him and tried to over throw his kingdom. The D clan was one of the highest clans ( maybe even from the Kings line) who tried to over throw "God's" kingdom by opening it up to the commoners, or maybe just wanted to go outside of paradise thus making them devil's. Kind of like Prometheus... And also, the new world isn't actually a new world, it's not like it was recently discovered or populated or settled.Maybe they call it the new world for the same reason Europe called the Americas the new world despite it already being populated and settled.

If that's the case, then the question is did the grandline or the new world always exist? We know that Poseidon has the power to control the Sea Kings. Isn't it kind of weird that thousands of them are just sleeping quietly in that ocean with no air or current, almost like they were put there to guard Paradise and the New World? What if this was the Ancient Kingdom's last ditch effort to protect Raftel (if we assume that that's where they lived)? Maybe JoyBoy asked the Poseidon of his time to command the sea kings and create the calm belt in order to preserve the history and keep their Island safe from the rest of the world until the future D. comes to avenge them? Maybe he or someone of that Kingdom had a fruit that was able to nulify the wind on top of that area? We know that the marines got their sea prism coated ship technology from Wano and we know Wano was an ally to the Ancient Kingdom since they were the stone masons that created the poneglyphs. Maybe the world Nobles of the time heard that Wano had a technology to help them navigate freely through the calm belt and that's why they didn't and still till this day annhialate them because they never told them how, the same way that no one other than the Kozuki Clan knows how to carve the poneglyphs. Maybe, like you said, Reverse Mountain was made by Pluton in order to at least let people be able to travel into Paradise. Why didn't they blow up the mountain where Pangea Castle sits? First of, it would probably destroy Fishman Island (HINT HINT the future teller that saw luffy destroying Fishman Island 😉). Maybe because since the fishmen were their allies, they knew there was a way for people to travel to the New World by coating their ships. Also, because they don't want the future D. saviour to go by the top of the mountain and never meet the Fishman Princess, or potentially Poseidon. Which is why there was a Poneglyph on Skypiea mentioning Poseidon being located in Fishman Island. And the last reason was because JoyBoy wanted the inheritor of his will to free the Fishmen and bring them to the top of the sea under the sun, a promise he wasn't able to fulfill. I think that someon else said it first but it's entirely possible that Whitebeard epithet of "the man with the power to destroy the world" actually refer to the Gura Gura no Mi being able to damage the Red Line heck, maybe that was how Reverse Mountain got made

Well, with the info and theorems here, I've got a theory of my own. During the Void Century, the world was more continental like our own. The world Govt. had won the war by blowing up the world (perhaps using Pluton or something) and perhaps melting the polar ice caps (since we don't see the north pole or south pole in any map) and then used the landmass they destroyed to make the Red Line. I dunno, a bit slap-dashed, but who knows. Neat video as always.

I really like the theory, but there is one thing that seems odd to me. If I remember correctly, then Vegapunk was the one who invented this seastone coating of the marine ships. That would mean before this was invented there wasn‘t even an at least somewhat save way for the marines to get from for example the Grandline to the East Blue. Were they just crossing the Calm Belt hoping they would somehow manage to survive? I understand that it would make a lot of sense for the WG to seperate the sea to make it easier to control people. But in the past they could not even control it themselves so well, because they simply did not get there to fight possible uprisings or revolutions...
