Thank you for the weekly Q&A sessions. I enjoy learning more about the Bible and how to serve God better. I use the commentary you wrote quite frequently to help me understand those verses, chapters, and books that I might not completely understand. Pastor Guzik, you are my Pastor at this time because I do not attend a local church. You are such an inspiration to me daily. Thank you!

I thought you were Richard Dreyfus when I saw thumbnail. 😂 Great message there Mr. Guzik, I’ve reading your Bible commentary books. Makes the Bible so much easier to understand.

Amen brother. Good discussion. Also note for anyone disappointed about not winning the book, you can download the collected works of Martin Luther, including his commentary on Galatians, in ebook format, for 99 cents.

Watching the recording this week. Thank you so much for the Q&A in particular the Halloween question as I did have slight thought about it before deciding trick or treating with my children. I take it as a fun activity for my children to have good time with their friends, nothing more 😁

Question: What are some things you changed your mind on recently or later in life, beyond the first 20 years of being a Christian. And how did you come to that realization? My question is on that topic generally, so anything that comes to mind when thinking about this, if you can please share I think it might be edifying. Thank you!

The reformers over-reacted to Rome's grievous errors in at least four ways: 1. Luther wanted to dump James from the Bible 2. Calvinism is a HUGE, five-point overreaction 3. Non-Calvinist reformers who taught 'once saved, always saved' overreacted 4. Rejecting the Church's duty to feed and clothe the poor is an overreaction

1- Where's Waldo? 2- Here's the more important answer you left out though I think we would agree. Everything that happens is for the benefit of the elect so of course the Reformation was for the Good of the elect. When we look at an evdnt as limited humans we can discuss what part seems to us in our short term view as goid or bad but as Jiseph said: what you meant for evil God used for Good. Those not saved aren't covered by Dr Pangloss but if you are saved even the worst thing, say brain cancer, is actually for your own Good. I don't deny your analysis, and you make very important points I don't disagree with but you miss the bigger point. Me going slowly blind and currently in severe pain is a Good thing for me no matter what my short term thoughts might be. You are correct in a short sighted way and should at least mention the llarger point.
