@JenniferSwiftBlood If I recall correctly the scream was painted in the 1890s, so possibly regression due to age, lead and arsenic poison (paints), alcoholism, and hard drugs (c word was in EVERYTHING). The possibilities are endless.

I feel you can tell it's done by a professional artist because there is a clear knowledge/skill in the brush strokes that a kid could definitely not replicate. Makes perfect sense if it was towards the end of his life... still has the muscle memory but not the coordination and mental faculties to utilize them the same way...

hang on are they really not going to mention--that wasn't a painting (technically) by anisimow. that was a photograph where the stage, props, and models had been painted irl to LOOK like they're in a painting. it's in the style of living art, which you'll be familiar with if you've seen that one episode of gilmore girls where the living art festival has to come to stars hollow last minute. lol anyway, it's incredible work! but it's not a painting in the traditional sense/the way they were thinking, and i think they'd be more impressed and fascinated to know how it was done.

I’ve been into abstract art lately and I feel like it’s sparked so much enthusiasm in my own art. I’d love to see Rhett and Link go on a guided art museum tour- even if they still think abstract is childlike, it would be cool for the audience to experience vicariously.
