Stunning views, I do prefer a chicken breast to a chicken thigh too. Not being asked if we need another drink would go down in my review, it’s not the end of the world but I like good service. The cocktail bar is definitely my vibe x

€55 for two seems a reasonable amount to pay for an upmarket restaurant in a very smart part of town. Not inordinately expensive. I would certainly pay the restaurant a visit. However, the cocktail bar in Las Americas was EYE WATERINGLY expensive. As a one-off, fine, but it would be a bloody expensive holiday if one drank there every night of the week.

the pasta dish being served to the table in a upmarket place with all the sauce leaked off the plate in transit is a deffo nono to me to start , if it was a KFC with the view, would you pay treble the price ? for the same id say not quality food ?? we are tight in Yorkshire but id deffo swerve this one ..wine price is fine though so 2/10

Restaurant was a lovely setting, as you said, but the presentation of Laura's meal was shocking. Looked like it had just been slopped onto the bowl. The chef and the waiter both must have seen that but neither could be bothered to tidy it up. I'm not a fan of dark chicken meat either, it's cheap and the gratin should have been softer too. Yes, we all have different tastes, but I agree with you. Disappointing for such a lovely looking place. Saw your vlog on the place next door which looked much nicer so will bear that in mind for next time we're there. Thanks for showing us.

Food Prices look typical Adeje prices but some of the wine was overpriced, the muga crianza is only €50 a bottle in the Taurus by the passerella centre , €74 in the acanto 😮, the setting is nice though

Firstly, love Laura’s dress, very pretty, next oh Andrew when you said on the menu ‘suckling lamb’ coming from to suckle, that’s a baby lamb removed from the mother…. I’d bar restaurants selling that, glad I’m veggie. My fav Canarian food is the potatoes and the mojo sauce and the potatoes omelettes, or tortilla. Hope there is enough places selling veggie/vegan in Tenerife.. won’t be visiting this place, your food didn’t look too good.

Neither Acanto or Torre del Mirador are places to visit solely for the food quality. They rely on location and the entertainment. In Acanto it is Alfredo a brilliant guitarist and in La Torre it is Ged Roberts, singer, songwriter who has been there for 20 years. On his summer break at the moment. Visit his website and get to know him. Acanto used to be great when it was just a cocktail bar . The best restaurant nearby is La Nonna 50 yards away. How do I know all this, well I have lived part time there 10 minutes away for 15 years.

I feel the presentation of food was such a let down especially on Laura’s pasta Plate.. just no excuse in serving it that way.. I personally wouldn’t have liked your option either as looked quite dry again a messy looking dish.. in saying that if the flavours are there I’d at least try it, but if a pasta comes well overcooked it shows that time wasn’t really taken over it and I wouldn’t have eaten this. For the Beauty of the place and scenery it’s a shame. The cost average but disappointing in having not the best experience. Regarding food , doesn't matter what dish you choose, it should be presented correctly and be an acceptable quality , dont agree that it 'depends what meal you choose ' that was poor quality and poor service imho, vegas grill is expensive BUT quality is excellent 👍🏻as are other restaurants

Have to agree with everyone about the state of the plate, unacceptable , especially if it’s touting itself as being an upmarket restaurant. Also the pasta being over cooked and breaking up in the plate is terrible. No one ‘prefers’ that, Andrew. Pasta should always be Al dente, well it least keep its shape. For an Italian restaurant, it’s really not good enough.

Growing up my parents sent me to my aunt and uncle’s chicken farm in Massachusetts. I saw hundreds of chickens grow from chicks to adults each season, resulting in the older chickens being sold to those companies manufacturing chicken soup. I can’t eat a piece of chicken to this day.

Thanks for the vlog, Andrew and Laura. Unfortunately, that restaurant wasn't great. You are definitely paying for the area and views. That's cheap meat for your chicken dish but not cheap prices, and Laura pasta looked awful. Couldn't they wipe the plate 1st? Sorry, but it doesn't take 2 seconds to pop over and ask if you're enjoying your meal . I wouldn't rush to that restaurant. I wouldn't mind some gluten-free pasta on holiday, but I wouldn't try there . Love your restaurant reviews. Keep up the good work x

Came into buddies the other day Laura served us our cocktails which were very nice you wasn’t around (probs vlogging or on an airport run) sat on the roof top terrace which is very nice 😍 on our way home back to the UK today 😭 cant wait till December when we are back again 🫶🏻
