If you are doing a caster build with his 4 you keep that energy up pretty much constantly, with my build I have a upkeep of 400-600 energy with a low efficiency build and equilibrium with a companion

His passive was meant to boost his globe since it snapshot the armor value at the time of cast. Battery however works on current armor value. So yeah it sucks on frost

They are pushing for more armor on frost so I won't say it sucks ppl just arnt building around it.

Well i won’t say that it’s something you can build around because his armors based around the amount of enemies around him with Cold on them. We aren’t saying frost is bad at all here it’s just that he can’t use the new Arcane like other frames with high base armor like Qorvex Inaros Nidus etc. Again not a bad thing because they gave him the new arcane Ice storm that’s literally MADE for frost 😂

@@RyanTheGOATYT he has natural base armor, archon shards, and mods. His 4th ability augment is getting armor scaling its definitely something u can build around. Nobody said frost was bad it just the lack of use in available resources that make build diversity hard for some ppl. Think outside the box guys there are other ways to build frames besides what's on the front page of yt.

well idk about that front page of youtube part lol. The whole conversations just about frost not being able to use the arcane like other armor based frames. Just observations that’s all. If you watch the video i say multiple times that frost is very enjoyable in this update and it would’ve been nice if you keep the buff from battery. Not a big deal that battery isn’t the best on him because there’s other arcanes like Molt Augmented and Energize that suite him better. And this is pretty obvious but you can build your frame however you want 😂 its apart of what makes warframe fun trying out different builds that are fun

if you use health conversion then you have permanent Armor hence permanent max energy

that works but frost is a frame where you have to use at the MINIMUM two of his augments 😅 so his builds aren’t very flexible in my opinion since you need max range on him and a boatload of strength as well

health conversion is not perm armor. same issue as this. however, getting a ton of armor on frost is not hard.

The arcane has a number of QoL issues tbf. For example its dynamic scaling doesn't proc the max energy requirement for purple crit damage shards as they seem to snapshot at the start of a mission. As much as I enjoy the 1200 energy my Valkyr has from Warcry with Arcane Battery AND Primed Flow I was kinda hoping to free up a mod slot with the arcane instead of just massively boost my Hysteria energy buffer.

Why would it work any other way? You get max energy based on current armour. You get current armour based on the current number of nearby frozen enemies. Why would the max energy be permanent? What bug do you have in mind? /shrug

Tbh I think its fine, one thing I did was to equip 4 Tauforged Armor Archon Shards, Max ranked Arcane Guardian and that should give you more than enough energy tbh. I myself am not using Arcane Battery and instead use Molt Augmented so I can reach 100% armor strip with one Avalanche cast. Thanks to the high armor I also get around 5k-10k Overguard per cast lol.

The Arcane simply wasn't meant for Frost, of course. If it was meant SPECIFICALLY for Frost, then it would have an affect based around cold procs and freezing enemies. Lol

It's be nice if they added a 10-15 second highest snapshot period for buffs relying on rapidly updating factors Ember's Passive, Limbo's Rift Torrent and maybe Grendel's (armor) passive as well as Frost's.

there's about 5 seconds or so (really small window tbh) to use up the extra energy, so not worth it

I mean they gotta cap it for every frame if it’s gonna be permanent. Just not a good fit for Frost, but it’s still good for other high armor frames. Also realize with Frost in his current state, you don’t really need to spam abilities too much.

It wouldn't need a cap, you could just retain accrued energy until it's used like Overshields do rather than remove energy. Probably more complex coding but that just makes the arcane a good concept rushed into bad implementation.
