I love the honesty in this 1 year check in. Relationships in general are challenging but even more challenging when there is influence from external parties (family, friends, church, money etc). My advise is to both forget what you grew up knowing of marriage/ traditional gender roles. Embrace your new normal. Women dont put pressure on yourself to be good at everything. If you not domesticated, focus on the things you good at. Men should also step up and outgrow what they have been taught a man should be. Cook, clean, wash, bath the kids, be present, contribute meaningfully to your household

Been married for 6 years now all glory to God. My 1st year was extremely difficult. We both had expectations of each other which was unfair on our marriage. What I've learned to love unconditionally as Christ loves us. Pray for yourself and pray for your spouce. Don't try change your spouce, God will. I am engaged and living with my fiance for 10 months. I have learned that living with your partner isn't easy, there's so much you learn about them as well as yourself. Learning I have very annoying habits and I can be mean has been humbling. . You grow so much and you become better for it too.
