I don't think I will ever hear anything louder than that HUGE hit in Star's 1992 opener. 24 seconds in, then it got even louder at 29 seconds. No way any hornline has ever matched that volume. It was deafening. I still get chills whenever I hear it, but being there live (three nights in a row) was utterly amazing.

Been going to shows since the late 70's, and yes, this is so far the loudest brass moment I've heard in the Bb era...but I competed against '89 Phantom, and let me tell ya'...
@yesorlando05 Жыл бұрын
This was good, but 1989 Phantom Regiment, 1989 Star of Indiana, 1995 & 1997 Madison Scouts, and 1980 Spirit of Atlanta (all outdoor shows, not an enclosed stadium. No amplification) were definitely more powerful. I heard them all. Chills from head to toe on a totally different level.
@deeaplw Жыл бұрын
No. Pre amplification and with amplification have to be separated, so there is not loudest moment without a proviso. This was for sure super powerful and I love it! One example of power before amplification, BD 1985 last note of ballad. G bugles, blew our faces off. So many great loud moments in old and new dci! Love it!
