Yo, Manni, I recently started up WR again. You got any fun tips for a Crisis with 4 Reapers? It usually can hold it's own decently enough, but sometimes it feels like I'd have better luck with running other weapons on the Crisis.

@@NewsLies yea, I have the new stuff also, that's not the issue, the issue is the cycle of stuff getting nerfed. You haven't witnessed THE cycle yet. In about 2 months, that titans built in weapon will do about 30% of the damage it does now, AND have double coodown, which would work out to about 85% nerf. (Say 10 damage with 10 second reload, works out to 1 damage per second, 3 damage with 20 second reload works out to 0.15 damage per second) These kinda of nerfs DO happen, it's not like a game like League of Legends, other games like that that are PVP they release stuff "mostly balanced" then nerf it and usually it won't be more than 10% because they actually tried to balance it in the first place before release. War robots it's not MEANT to be balanced, by design they release stuff purposely overpowered(make players want it), makes people upgrade it to maximum(players PAY for it and the upgrades), release a new weapon that's more powerful, but same patch nerf the slightly older weapon that everyone has been using, so they're now the second best weapon, means everything older is worse, but the new weapon that just came out is like 3x the power. It'd be nice if new stuff was just 10% better than old stuff, then got nerfed 10% when new...new stuff got released. Then then everything would be equal apart from the new weapons performing 10% over instead of like 200% over performing. It's hard to describe to new players, but honestly the AMOUNT they need stuff is hilarious. This isn't the worst example, but it's the only one I know the numbers for. The weapon known as Reaper. (Damage per shot is a guess for MK3, but doesn't matter, only estimates. Released patch 9.1.0. 10,000 damage per shot, 6 shots, 7 second reload. 60,000 damage per reload, every 7 seconds, unload time 1.2 seconds. 7+1.2 8.2 = seconds. 60/8.2 = 7.317 7.317*60,000 = 439,020 per minute for one reaper in 9.1.0 Patch 9.4.0 Reload time adjusted 7-12 seconds. 10,000 damage per shot, 6 shots, 12 second reload. 60,000 damage per reload, every 12 seconds, unload time 1.2 seconds. 12+1.2 = 13.2 seconds. 60/13.2 = 4.55 4.55*60,000 = 273,000 per minute for one reaper in patch 9.4.0 That's a 37.816% nerd in DPM (damage per minute) Patch 9.9.9 Reload time adjusted 12-15 seconds. Damage reduced by 15% 8500 damage per shot, 6 shots, 15 second reload. 51,000 damage per reload, every 15 seconds, unload time 1.2 seconds. 15+1.2 = 16.2 seconds. 60/16.2 = 3.7 3.7*51,000 = 188,700 188,700 per minute for one weapon = 57.0179% decrease from initial release in patch 9.1.0 Just saying it, THIS ISNT THE BIGGEST NERF WE'VE HAD, and these weapons still far out perform old crown favorites like Dragoon, which have ONLY 600 meters range and DON'T bypass defence, THATS why we're annoyed at new weapons, not even after a ****** nerf, are they equal to weapons we used to enjoy and maxed out. Dragoons would still get destroyed by a reaper build, for sure, but having half the range they SHOULD have higher damage than a max range weapon, if you get me, balance means nothing these days, reapers probably still out perform Gauss, which are good, but have 800m range, so again, out of these 3 sniper weapons DPM should be Dragoon > Gauss > Reaper, due to maximum range. Kinda a rant, but I've tried to explain why it's an issue, the games just not worth playing half the time I swear

I think that's pretty well known. Was relatively recent. I wasn't around at the dash bot time, but pretty experienced (Not high leagues) when the Fujin was allowed to walk.

The first thing most evident is HOW CLEAN THAT USER-INTERFACE & GAMEPLAY WAS. There's not BILLION EFFECTS going on all at the same time and maps were so Bright & Vibrent not like today where maps are Dark & Dingey on top of all those effects.

i just wish that older stuff was playable, pixonic's old formula was squishy bots with abilities that made them invincible so you could outplay them and feel good about it, everything now has like one million hp and superb mobility so there's really nothing you can do besides refusing to respawn

remember the old workshop? you would just produce a currency over time for silver, and you could buy anything that required components, including Raijin, Fujin, Tarans etc. it was a much simpler system, so that you didn't have to gather 10k components for a specific robot, you would just earn it and decide what robot or weapon to buy my favourite setup back then was a kumiho with tarans, cheap and fast beacon runner

the most fun i remember having is during the ancilelot meta copying mannis punisher + orkan doc build and absolutely dominating with it. good times when you could use the rdb griffin for the entire match and 3 different griffin builds, a beacon runner and a doc was powerful enough to easily go to expert league. another fun time i remember was a lot later when the demeter and mender got the pilots to heal grey damage and just could become almost invincibe over the course of the match thanks to ramping up your amplifier modules and if you played it well enough you would become this end boss bot. a lot of good memories because of wr.

Orkans are so OP back then, 1 clip can kill 1 tanker and reduce another one to 50-60%, it was among the best weapons but got butchered in the 5.0 update, the one with the leech or was that 5.something

I like the 22 second ability cool down. That is a lot more fair and balanced than what they are now. For example, why does the curie just have a six second recharge on its ability with a pilot? It is too broken

Manni do you remember that after the battle, you would be charged AG to repair your robot, I think only OGs would be aware of this, but it would be like 20k silver to recharge/repair your robot after the battle ends (this was 8 years ago)

That hud looks so good. In game robot select screen, bars, indicators and controls were all prettier to look at. And the gameplay itself was so much more fun. We didnt need all the stupid power boosting crap we have today. Todays cashgrab WR is living proof that more isnt always better. More skills, pilots, battleships, drones, modules... they all ruin the core war robots experience. It was slowly lost after the "remaster" update that set the game up for pixonics future scams.

I remember how hellburner would damage itself when it exploded. Also when tulumbas, pins, tridents, and pinatas would fire their whole clip at once, and orkan was the only rocket launcher that reloaded while firing. And OH BOY do I remember my good old avenger Ao Jun. I know it was considered broken then, but it was really fun to play. Compared to Raptor, Shenlou, or Curie, its not nearly as impactful. Oh, and back in Walking War Robots, there were medals you won for each match, and there was a prototype fujin hidden in Springfield as well.

My favorite setup has always been the dragoon/marquess mercury. It's an unusual build, but with proper aim, it used to be a great all range build, and the helldive was your security. Before marquess, I used to use piñatas, and back then, it worked really well! Remember when hybrid setups were good? Different times, man..

I remember when Bulgasari and Shocktrains came out. I had two shocktrains and was shocked when I faced a Chinese guy with 3 maxed. Blew me away and two other of my teammates nearby. There were no pilots, modules, suppression, only silver & gold. No mk2 or 3. Only silver or gold. Thunders and Magnums dominated.

First meta bot I got was Inquisitor with Orkans and Exodus, you could grind for them for free. Finally getting them was so great and the stealth jump back then was slightly longer than for Spectre giving you an opportunity against it. Great times in WR back then. All time fav is Avenger Ao Jun❤

This isn't a feature apart of the game that I remember But the feeling of pure joy and hype when you grind so long and finally unlocked one of the Knights of Camelot robots. Months of saving workshop points and finally unlocking that Raijin or Rhino The excitement and hype of unlocking a new robot and taking that thing into battle, that's what I remember and miss.

Personally my favourite build was the gruosome green (i still cant remmeber too well if it wa sgreen or blue) griffin, i had it with punisher and whenever i jumped one enemy would die, incredibly broken back then, think of it as a plasma griffin for poor people (i only had 1 magnum and so it wouldn't fit with the rest of the robot)

5:12 Wrong, you could heal. In fact the first active module was Heal and QR. Then they added Advanced Repair, Phase Shift and Shield Breaker. Third wave was Jump, Lock Down and Death Mark
