This was a solid match in my opinion and it’s nice to finally see the tnt championship being treated like a bigger deal since that terrible sammy and scorpio sky feud since joe for like two months made the tnt championship relevant again. Also seeing darby as tnt champion is nice since I felt like he was trending water in 2022 and didn’t due a whole lot of nothing besides his matches with sammy and andrade for the tnt championship or his tag team matches with sting.

It would have been nice, but I think they're trying to gradually let Darby appear solo so the perception isn't he's "in Sting's shadow" so to speak. Sting has been a great mentor for him and it shows. Darby's been amazing and he can stand on his own. The crowd's support (which has been consistent) proves his worth.

Derpy Allin is the textbook example of what is wrong with the wrestling business today. A glorified stuntman who can’t actually wrestle if his life depended on it doing one spot after the other. He will end up in a wheelchair for sure and it will be his own damn fault. He's also on his way out and needs to end his career the way he started it. He's a man of the people, and I'd have it no other way. I could see if he wanted to respectfully face Darby as a student/mentor thing to pass the torch. Kinda how Sting and Flair had a match on the last WCW Nitro just out of respect for one another. No feud, no heels involved. Just 2 guys with big respect for one another having seemingly one last match together and hugging it out after.
