*Here are my unwarranted tips* 1. Use a detangling brush *only* when you wash your hair 2. The pick is way better for adding volume to your roots never for detangling purposes 3. I use the same Curl Cream from african pride it’s amazing and it pairs well with their leave in conditioner 4. The curl cream doesn’t mix with the eco styler gel, you can tell because it’s curdling in your hair and leaving a white cast *you can also check this by mixing the two products together in a conditioner, and if it curdles it will also curdle in your hair and leave a white cast 5. I also have 4a, and my best wash and go’s came from me doing four steps (leave in conditioner, curl cream, oil, mousse) *aka LCO method* The mousse is for hold so you can just toss the gel and forget about all those white flakes after a couple of days! 6. make sure you section your hair before you apply product so it’s evenly distributed 7. Make sure your spraying each section with a ton of more water before you apply product *our hair loves water* 8. You can also style your hair with the detangling brush or a styling brush it makes no difference to me, or even finger curl it! 9. leaving a regular conditioner on your hair in a shower cap won’t add more moisture unfortunately, you would have to purchase a deep conditioner which works wonders, i use the mielle one but it is a bit pricey and i only get about to uses out of the bottle 10. Keep in mind consistency is key there is no magic product that will grow your hair 11. Remember that it might take you 2 hours to style but the wash and go will last up to a week! and even more if you refresh throughout the week Thank you for listening to my TED talk :)

Curl/coil shape and hair texture are completely different. Your hair texture is the way your hair actually feels when wet vs dry. Which is why texture plays a big role in wash and go results

Cool vid but I just wanna know how long does it usually take for 4c hair to start having some curls hangtime and like a little bit of shake. Cause I was growing my hair out for like 7 months and I think i noticed a little shake and hang time I couldn't really tell though but now I recently just restarted going for the full afro look and just wanna know how long it will take to get some 4c hangtime or if 4c has hangtime at all. Sorry for the whole paragraph lol.

Your hair could be dry and is lacking moisture and breaking in the middle because of the lack of hydration and your hair may need a stronger gel than what you’re currently using.

A little correction for 4:08. detangling your hair when it is wet actually breaks your hair more than when it is dry because your hair is softer and weaker when wet, it is better to LIGHTLY wet your hair if you have to with a spray bottle. Update: if your hair is extremely dry it is better to use oil to moisturize before detangling.
@keepingitkim60565 ай бұрын
I think this really depends on the person because for me detangling when super wet works best for me cause there's more slip. I think this is the case for most people with kinky curly hair but obviously do what works for you !
