Thanks for sharing. Your hair looks gorgeous, grey and all. I stopped fighting my greys. Not having to maintain color is a win for me. I also started washing my hair every 4-5 days. I wear it in twists the majority of the time. I have very few tangles and my hair is doing much better. I use the same type of scarf.

Thank you, Belinda! The maintenance of hair color is what I don't want to do. I just don't like how my grey is coming in around the edges. @@evelynparhamreviews I do love the scarf. I need to get a new one. I understand the grey fight. At least yours is uniform. The different texture is a minor pain, but I find my life easier not chasing bond builders and treatments. These greys were a struggle at the beginning.to help for me. Washing more frequently has resolved many of my issues. I might also try the Dickey method. I haven't done it in many years.

Hello Evelyn, the mixed chicks leave-in conditioner use to be my fav for years. You have lots of definition, curls are looking beautiful. Sometime I do the conditioner method and a leave-in. I haven't done it in a few months. I would do it on day 5 if my curls felt very dry, then shampoo three or four days later. I think this is a good method for the summer months. Your hair looks really nice, great curl definition. I watch Anthony Dickey videos but girl that washing everyday is a nope. But I will say that I sometimes will give my hair a good spritz with water and reapply my mousse and that will help me stretch my wash n go.

Your hair looks great! I have fine hair and I'm trying to learn how to do a wash and go without gel. My hair was too flat. I noticed you have another video using foam. When would you choose to use the foam versus the mixed chicks conditioner that you used in this video?

Hi there!! Thanks so much! Using less product also helps with the hair not being flat. I would choose a foam when I don't want much control. You get control (hold, definition), but it will be a bit more fluffy than with the Mixed Chicks leave-in; also, a foam might not last as long and cause dryness to the hair. It is possible to use the two products together. I would put the foam on top to soften the leave-in, which I predict should result in less flatness of the hair. I dont know how well they mix/work together since I've never tried it, but I will have to try it soon. If you don't want your wash & go flat, I recommend using a styling cream/lotion that is not too heavy since your hair is fine. Some lighter styling products that I like are Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls & Feather Soft Curls. You may also check out the Texture ID Styling Créme sold at Sally Beauty. I have not tried this one yet, but I will soon because I have it in my stash of styling products. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching!! Have a great week!🌻

Hi, MsAlto! Thanks ☺️!!! I used Curly Whip and other products from Hair Rules in the past and enjoyed them, so once I finish the products (cleanser & conditioner) I have, I plan to revisit them. I especially want to try the Kinky Curling Cream, and I might get that one soon 😀 Yes, it does work well, no matter the products used. I keep my co-wash conditioner the same most of the time, but I have 2 to 3 styling products I rotate with, and the method works well every time. I appreciate you watching and your feedback, too!! I like how your hair looks. I stop trying to wear wash and goes because if the single strand knots, but I heard you say if we do them more often those knots will not come on my hair? Not only that, but I got tired of cutting my hair as some as it grew because of those knots that I became a straight hair natural. I will try it method, but if it doesn't work, I will go back to being a straight hair natural again.

Hey Ms. Emeth! Check out the Hair Rules channel if you haven't already. Anthony Dickey explains how to do it. I straighten my hair every eight weeks.I'll be straightening it next week and keeping it that way, I hope for two weeks. I think if you've had a trim before starting the method, test the method to see if you have fewer single strand knots - after trying it for a few weeks. 9:32 where did you get it from because that’s the one I love so much. That have the runs in it. I couldn’t find it anywhere. What I like about it it is not double line that is too hot for me when it’s double line.

I think you might be able to find one at your local Beauty Supply or even a Walmart. I have a black one that is too tight for my big head, so I find that the brown one is more stretchy and not too tight. I have a link in the description box.
